"Also keep in mind that Trump only lost Minnesota by 45K votes out of 2.69M votes."

The 5 States he just lost is where he is campaigning a great deal, NH, MN, ME (if you will being close to NH) NM & NV (and possibly CO). The most effective changes around the margins, aka these are do-able and bring him to (depending upon ME) 353 to 355 if I did my math correct, I maybe off by 1.

The electoral votes of CA might be out of reach, but the repubs ought to be making a play for every congressional district that doesn’t touch the ocean.

No. California is one of those states whose legislators idiotically passed a law assigning the state's electoral votes to the winner of the NATIONWIDE "so-called popular vote."

Trump "lost" the "popular vote" last time by about 3 million votes, many of which were in California. These were largely due to illegals and "ballot harvesting" by dems.

So if California Republicans would do a little ballot harvesting of their own, and could cut down a bit on illegal voting, and bump up the black and hispanic vote by a few percent, they just might make a sizable dent in that 3 million popular votes.

3 million seems like a very reachable goal.

I can't wait to see CA, CO, NY, VT, IL, WA, OR, and many other blue states scramblimg to RESCIND their electoral idioc between Nov 3 and when the Electoral College convenes in December.

I hope the Repubs use every parliamentary trick, including filibusters, to prevent the rescinding.🤣😃😆😉

You know folks, Team Trump watches and listens aka they listen actively to some talk shows (Kuhner for example he claims they listen daily, to get a feel as to what the base is thinking and feeling).

The whole brilliance of Kushner / Parscale is in the history books for 2016, my guess is they are following this thread right now....

Agreed. Not a prayer.

The question I suppose would be two-pronged:

1) Is it the right thing to do? Federal intervention in an inherently local issue?

2) If it is, would it sway support from some moderates in one or more purple states?

He should use CA like VA or any other hardcore blue state... rake in as much as you can with fundraisers and certainly support downticket candidates, but don’t campaign there with plans of carrying them.

Waste of money and time. Hillary won CA 61.5% to 31.5% by 4.3 million votes.

And every year the CA leftist school systems churns out endless conga-lines of hundreds of thousands of little brainwashed leftist who vote and a state that welcomes illegal aliens who vote for socialism.

And this is state that votes yes to raise their already sky high taxes.

Trump will win CA when I can juggle flaming chainsaws while rollerskating on ice.

I’ll opine when people stop adding the P - in front of the president’s initials.

Whoever heard of PFDR or PJFK or PLBJ or PRWR or PHWB or PGBW???? I think using initials started with FDR and skipped a few!

I’m going to assume that those who use the “P” are much younger than I am and that’s GREAT for them!

The only states west of the Mississippi that strike me as winnable are Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado.

I pray you're right about Nevada. We're sure going to try out here to turn it Red again. I really don't think we can overcome Las Vegas and Reno, though. Sisoak (current Governor) won and didn't even try to campaign in the conservative counties. We don't have the combined population of just Vegas. He's got Reid and Bloomberg backing him and that means all the hotel/casino unions.

Trump Team is very active on this site. Sometimes you’ll see a tweet making a reference that was made here a few hours earlier. Some too unique to be coincidence.

To put it into perspective, Trump won 49 states and DC by an aggregate of 1.5 million. Hillary won CA by 4.5 million, thus Trump's deficit of some 3 million. However, let's not forget, CA's practice of automatically registering drivers' license recipients to vote -- illegal or not -- and the fact that ballot harvesting and a month-long counting process, help hand that state's vote totals to leftist candidates.

I think he is going to go for the popular vote and make the democrats spend money in California. Hopefully he will have a rally or two in one of the Red Counties.

Doing so would put it right up there with the Sessions hire for top-3 failures during Trump’s time as POTUS.

FL...PA...MI...and WI should be his main focus next year. NC,OH,and IN should get his attention as well.

Kalifornia? Why bother? He'd be smarter trying to win over the Upper West Side of Manhattan (meaning not smart at all).
