The editor-in-chief at Christianity Today, a publication founded by evangelist Billy Graham, caused political Twitter to explode on Thursday, after saying President Donald Trump “should be removed from office.”
Mark Galli writes that,
The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.
Galli goes on to issue a slew of attacks on Trump's "moral character", and citing Trump aides victimized by the Mueller-Russia witch hunt as "proof" of his immoral judgment.
The media instantly heralded the attack as damaging to Trump, calling CT a "prominent evangelical publication" and citing its long-ago founder Rev. Graham is if to say: "SEE? Even Trump's evangelical supporters now agree he is #OrangeManBad, like we've been telling you since 2015!"
And the same media predicted THIS was the sign that Trump had "lost" Christian voters with his impeachable behavior:

The president of the United States entered into a pact with an admitted enemy of the USA and a state sponsor of terrorism. He gave them 150 billion dollars of our money. He used his political power to favor the spread of *slam. He disavowed and hated Christianity, in spite of having declared that he was a “committed Christian.”
He should have been removed from office.

I am a former subscriber to Christianity Today. They have been trending left for decades. I stopped subscribing around the turn of the century, due to their articles attacking the literal translation of the Bible and attacking the people who support accurate Biblical translations.
I am somehow still on their email list, they send me notices of their recent articles. I occasionally glance at the email, the articles to tend to have a SJW perspective.

AFIK, Christianity Today has been an agent of creeping religious liberalism and elitism for a long time, and now the degree that it is coupled with political liberal socialism is clearly demonstrated by such an editorial comment. The “social gospel” it promotes is a false gospel.
The Ukranians said Trump didn’t pressure them but never mind the facts. However, Joe Biden did indeed pressure and threaten the Ukranians and we even have the video of Biden bragging to a room full of people that he threatened the Ukranians until he got what he wanted. So the Democrats might choose Biden and I bet Christianity Today will enthusiastically support him.
