The comPost is so biased:

"...on the limits of presidential power."

More like the limits of congressional and local prosecutor's power.

This President has been HARASSED more than any in the last 50+ years.

We don’t need to be concerned with a millionaire’s taxes when he becomes a politician. We need to be concerned with politician’s taxes when they become millionaires on a government salary.

WaPo declared an impeachment campaign 19 minutes after President was sworn in!

When I first moved to Maryland I got the Post. One of my neighbors as walking by when I was getting it out of the delivery box and he says “Why do you get Pravda on the Potomac and not the Wash Times? “

So I ordered the Times. Shortly after I cancelled Pravda (except Sundays... liked the coupons.)

Agree completely. But the democrats are unable to find evidence of crime by Trump, so they are fishing into the tax ocean. They are conflating Al Capone (who was convicted on tax evasion) with PDJT.

If they rule against President immunity from such lawsuits does it also open up records for Congress and federal judges?

Trump is harassed more because he is the FIRST president since I immigrated in 1960, who fights back hard. I can’t think of any other president who counter-punched so hard. The media is not used to such phenomena.

I don’t trust John Roberts. Unlike some around here I don’t think he is being blackmailed. One doesn’t have to resort to conspiracy theories to explain it.

Roberts’ mind is just not right. I believe he is fully capable of coming up with his twisted logic without any outside interference ... and that scares me.

We have 3 equal branches of government. One half of one branch can’t order the executive branch to do anything.

The question is why didn’t they get 3rd branch, the Court, involved??? Then they would have standing.

I suspect they knew they couldn’t get the Court’s support.

Actually there should be a land mark ruling limiting Congress’s abuse of it investigative powers for partisan political reasons.

Otherwise, Bill and Hillary Clinton's medical records - that they never released to anyone - would have made for very interesting reading compared to the Trumps' financial records. Not to mention Obama's school records and passport file(s).

I think the 'rats' long game is to try to discourage anyone with any amount of success in the world outside of The Swamp from ever running for President again.

Good question! If you wish to be immune from investigations, just run against the incumbent. Biden is wearing that bullet-proof vest currently. Trump is not allowed to even inquire about Biden’s past corruption filmed on video.

Why can’t all of Presidents Trump’s records be sealed like the POS who was in the White House before Trump?

The 1/6 the branch of government (the House of Reps) is under the delusion that since the US Constitution gives them SOLE POWER to impeach a sitting president, that also gives them authority of subpoena over any material or personnel working for the Executive branch. Not so fast Mr 1/6th.

He is the first US president (including George Washington) to never have worked for the government in any capacity prior to being elected president. He's more of an "outsider" to the bureaucracy than anyone has ever been.

Because the 44th POS was darling of the media. He could do no wrong. Love is blind!

They ditched the 10th commandment a long time ago. Socialism is all about coveting thy neighbor’s goods. I had a sociology teacher who was a socialist by admission. A Marx admirer. When he wasn’t talking about how racist conservatives are, he whined about how Bill Gates had more money than him. If he had it, do you think he’d share it, like a good socialist should?

...and has agreement with the Courts that any oversight privilege he grants to Congress will not be harassing or in any way impede the effective execution of duties under the constitution.

The President doesn’t grant Congress its oversight privileges. They’re inherent in its roles and responsibilities.

The question is how sweeping are they and the answer is up to SCOTUS, not POTUS.

They did. Several times. And won each time.

This is Trump going to SCOTUS to overrule the lower courts.

I am not so sure. If Trump had the calm personality of #43 who never fought back, or had the smooth delivery of #40 who also rarely got in the face of media, or was the first black president #44 with liberal tendencies and also never fought with media, the media wouldn’t care less if Trump was from Mars. They are annoyed because he insults them back immediately when they insult him. It has not happened in my observation since I immigrated in 1960.
