Our Outrage Over the Dems' Impeachment Farce

To say that We the People are outraged over the Democrats baseless absurd articles of impeachment against our president would be an understatement. Candidly, I've had to talk my feisty Irish/Cherokee wife down from throwing a brick through our TV. These arrogant scumbags, in essence, are saying screw you, 63 million Americans who elected this guy. We're smearing his a** with impeachment and y'all can't stop us.

The most infuriating thing about Democrats and fake news medias' fake outrage over Trump's alleged crimes is everyone knows Trump has done nothing wrong. He has functioned totally within his presidential authority. Democrats and media are attempting to criminalize Trump defending himself while exposing their corruption. The only thing Trump is guilty of is keeping his promise to do everything within his power to make America great again.

Folks, it feels like we are in an episode of “The Twilight Zone” in which Democrats' and medias' reality is the polar opposite of the truth. With straight faces, they authoritatively lie about every issue. Our economy is booming. And yet, Democrats and media say people are suffering horribly in Trump's economy. Blacks are enjoying a historic low unemployment rate. Dems and media tell blacks Trump is a white supremacist seeking to harm them

White liberal elites gin up hatred in black citizens to keep them on the democrat plantation. If black people fall for that crap again, we need to consider giving up on them and let Democrats play them and take them for granted ...forever.

Lying like this is a test of their political power and allegiance to them, as well as singling out opposition. Obama lied like this a lot. This is how dictatorships like Venezuela and North Korea work. It is NOT how a republic is supposed to work!

Precisely. And the mechanism for this was put in place in 1964 by the Warren Court, which lied about the Bill of Rights in its infamous New York Times Co. v. Sullivan decision.

As Antonin Scalia pointed out, the first eight amendments “enumerate” only rights which tyrants had historically wanted to repress. The Federalists who composed the Bill of Rights only did so because they had to cede the point to the Antifederalists; that was potentially a poison pill because the rights of the people were Common Law, and as such not comprehensively “enumerated” in any single document. The authors of the Bill of Rights wanted to solidify the ratification of the Constitution by assuring one and all that the Constitution did not alter any rights. They weren’t trying to change any rights, they were trying to suppress any potential controversy over the rights of the people. Thus the enumerated rights were phrased in the least controversial manner - existing rights such as “‘the’ freedom . . . of the press” or “‘the' right to keep and bear arms” - which referred to existing rights with any recognized limits (such as the right to sue for libel in the case of “freedom of the press”).

Thus, no one ever doubted that libel and pornography laws survived the ratification of the First Amendment. Until the Sullivan decision, when the Warren Court unanimously claimed that >". . . libel can claim no talismanic immunity from constitutional limitations. It must be measured by standards that satisfy the First Amendment”

The Sullivan decision comes from the position that “the press” is weak and beleaguered. The reality is that “the press” functionally is a cartel. Adam Smith’s point that People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices, combined with the obvious fact that the AP “wire” in particular, and wire service in general, are virtual meetings of all major journalism, make it difficult to assume anything other than that journalism is a cartel.

The journalism cartel presumes to label itself “objective,” in full knowledge that in fact journalism is about bad news and therefore is negative. Thus the claim that journalism is objective implies that “negativity is objectivity” - which is patent cynicism. Concomitantly, journalism labels people who are politically simpatico with the journalism cartel positively - either “liberal,” or “progressive,” or “moderate” or “centrist.” In short, Democrats essentially are never libeled, while Republicans are libeled routinely.

The Sullivan decision - which inhibits lawsuits by public officials - thus affects Republicans only. And that is the root of political correctness - the inability of Republicans to protect the reputations they earn from libel allows journalists to go “all in” for cynicism towards society and naiveté towards government. To go all in, that is, for socialism.

“The press” has exploited Sullivan to prevent the truth from prevailing over lies. The press reaction to the Kavanaugh hearing certainly should have told SCOTUS that. Republicans must sue for libel in the teeth of Sullivan, and SCOTUS must overturn it.
