Did your investigation identify any evidence President Obama ordered the FBI to tap Donald Trump’s phone?

Clinton speak. Question should have been:

Did your investigation identify any evidence President Obama anyone in the Obama administration ordered the FBI to tap Donald Trump’s phone?

Horowitz doesn’t have the clearance to qualify anything other than the FBI alone.

Nothingburger.

That is total malarkey. They had zilch, had to manufacture evidence, lie, hide exculpatory evidence and when the warrant(s) showed nothing they renewed them anyway with more lies. Just ask yourself why they would want to spy on Carter Page for a year?

Bill Barr said it in his NBC interview, the Page warrant gave them the ability to look at all of his past communications. Dan Bongino explains that a FISC Warrant gives them “3 hops” - a normal federal warrant only allows them to tap the target and whomever communicates with the target (2 hops), but the “3 hop rule” available with FISC warrants to go 1 step further, to tap the target, those who communicate with the target, and anyone who communicates with that 2nd person. This was how they tapped Trump. By targeting Page, they knew Page would have communicated with someone in the campaign, who would eventually contact, forward, carbon copy etc Trump himself.

The operation involved the entire US intelligence apparatus.

The FBI didn’t have to wiretap DT’s phones; they could have accessed the NSA data. Or the CIA. Or Echelon.

There were multitudes of ways the feds could have spied on the candidate and still preserved plausible deniability.

If the FBI did not, did the CIA?

Everyone who is in prison for any crime investigated by the FBI should demand a review and a retrial.

“Wire tap” in parentheses is meant to indicate electronic surveillance.

Which is what most certainly occurred.

“...he found no evidence the FBI wiretapped anyone other than former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page ..”

He forgot to mention he didnz’t look for any evidence. Besides, he didn’t have enough time during the 2 years dicking around on this report.

The IG has no subpeona powers and cannot compel anyone to tell the truth. That limits how much evidence he can collect and therefor limits his ability to verify or proof false many claims. It will take the work of Durham to expose the failures of the IG report and his testimony.

It’s all a matter of semantics. Trump may not have been under direct surveillance, but he was “wire tapped” through his communications with others.

In Horowitz’s defense, he’s really in a no-win position here. He’s the Inspector General of a U.S. government agency that has less integrity and credibility than NAMBLA or ISIS.
