I can’t say I agree.....Why drag this out and watch a repeat of everything we already know? people already know what a chrade this entir thing is. So why not call a vote and end it? Thus Trump can role on without this around his neck, and it will at least tie the hands of the public spectacle the Dems want to use thrughout this next year.

A trial could, perhaps, work out very well for Trump, no doubt about it. It’s a close call, but I like the symbolism of stomping this impeachment into the ground & giving it ZERO weight or respect.

There is virtually no way the Senate will do the right thing. The Democrats in the House have thrown themselves on the floor, holding their breath in a kicking screaming tantrum. I fully expect the GOP to buy them a Lolly.
The Senate didn’t allow any witnesses be called during the Clinton impeachment and that still lasted 6 weeks.
They at least need to call all the witnesses who perjured themselves in previous Congressional hearings.
