V-ger
Well yeah- that was a spin off of the planet killing satellite called Nomad.
Episode called “The Changeling”. Nomad satellite sent out to seek out biological life... gets damaged and combines with an alien life form... then sets off to destroy all biologic “imperfections” things that are “not perfect” .
Entire planets blown up, etc.
They bring the satellite on board, and it improves =re perfects lots of things. Erases a person’s memory, kills Scotty and revives him. Confuses Kirk with its Creator and They debug it and send it out into space to blow itself up.
V-ger was a precursor to the Borg in the later TV series after the movie on Voyager...V-ger.
For its day fairly well done episode, as a good story.
