Social justice? Bah, humbug!
You want to study Yiddish, there's a 15-lesson course on You Tube. You want to see Yiddish spoken in a film, I recommend Lauf Junge Lauf, a 2013 multilingual film with Yiddish spoken in the beginning end that is so perfect I could almost believe the actors are native speakers. Or Menashe, released in 2017, depicting life in Williamsburg among the Satmar Chassidim for an impoverished single father. The actual Hungarian dialect is spoken almost throughout.
Here's the url for the start of my Yiddish course, temporarily not making further advanced lessons.

“tallest/most beautiful” somehow only means tallest. Leftard through and through. Not seeing his film, unless I can download it safely from Pirate Bay. He gets no money from me.

Let's not forget Gene Wilder in Frisco Kid. He didn't need to do no studying. He grew up speaking it.

I think I heard some spoken on various Kojak episodes.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Kojak always had Greek, but it showcased a lot of different ethnicities.

Yiddish can get along quite well without his two cents. Still many have it as a first language, and there are newspapers and theatrical and cinema productions, too. He can use his award to administer enemas. I picked it up spontaneously, living and working in NYC and Buffalo, and hearing it spoken.

Rogen is worthless. Lowest common denominator movies.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, in YIDDISH, has been running on off off Broadway and then, off Broadway, starring Joel Grey ( who can't speak Yiddish ) to great acclaim, for over a year now. And it's drawing big crowds; not all of whom speak or understand Yiddish.
This seems to be a rather silly award and to throw in the "social justice" garbage makes it even worse.

My first boss taught me some Yiddish. It amused him to have a skinny wasp kid speak it. He was a great guy and I miss him.
Of course he taught me many other things of great value.
To: ClearCase_guy
The movie “A STRANGER AMONG US” ( good movie BTW ), contains scenes with people speaking Yiddish, too.
