No mention of the 31, who, marching to relieve Kfar Etzion, captured a shepherd boy, and after debate decided to do the humane thing and let him go on condition he didn’t tell on them. He did. Moral of the story: If you’re marching to relieve an outpost, tie the damned shepherd boy to a tree and gag him. Threaten to come back and slit his throat if he makes a sound.
