Look at the numbers on Independents.

my take-away is:
1.) lots of folks ARE paying attention to this;
2.) not only is it not working, but it causing President Trump’s approval rating to increase

Not really.
One has to apply a LOT of secret sauce and other voodoo to parse down to those who will actually vote. That propensity varies substantially from election to election and the characteristics of those who voted last time and not always the characteristics of those who will vote this time.
Self identification is not reliable either.
I MUCH prefer Registered Voter polls, adding my own sauce/intuition and watching the trend.
Also, the fact is these Democrats are decidedly unappealing and even unattractive - and I don’t believe for a minute the lack of appeal is limited only to Republicans or Trump supporters.
Take Mr Maloney for example. I doubt the average Democrat can stand this sanctimonious prick any more than I can. Other examples abound.
I can’t explain it, but the extraordinarily high asswipe-to-Democrat correlation is undeniable.
The Democrats would be well advised to keep these losers away from the TV cameras in the future, regardless of the substance their arguments (or lack thereof) - which is also problematic.
Getting out of order here but I was on this thread listening to the hearing on the computer and did I just hear Dr. Hill say that she’s appalled to read/hear criticism about George Soros - that attacks on him are anti semetic?? That the conspiracy theories about him are SO WRONG????????

If Likely Voters more accurately reflect the election results, why don’t the pollsters poll LIKELY voters, instead of REGISTERED voters?
I bet the President’s numbers would be even better if right wingers like me would answer our phones more from numbers we don’t know.
I heard liberals answer the polling calls much more that we do.
