A campaign event for former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who launched a late Democratic presidential bid last week, reportedly was canceled Wednesday evening when only two people showed up.
Patrick was scheduled to speak at Morehouse College in Atlanta, a historically black men's college located not far from the site of Wednesday night's Democratic presidential debate. The event was organized by students from the New Deal Democrats.

Obama’s set for life; this means nothing to him. Deval is being pushed by current Dem officeholders and leaders, not the Halfrican Has-Been. If Dems never control Congress or the White House again, Obama is fine. All Dems see is their spent token who left office in 2016 with the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives in the hands of Republicans - just like BJ Clinton in 2000.
No problem, it’s not like Atlanta has much of a black community.
This reminds me of a scene from the movie Spinal Tap. After the Bands Boston gig is cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The Bands Manager tells the guys not to worry about it, Boston isn’t a big college town LOL! For those in Rio Linda there are 35 Universities, Colleges and Community Colleges in and around Boston.

I tend to agree with this article’s perspective, but you can bet Obama won’t endorse anyone until after a nomination, if then, but you can be it won’t be Patrick, unless he’s a VP pick for ButtiBean:

For those who don't recognize sarcasm - and I'm assuming sarcasm here - Atlanta's population is 54% black. And Atlanta's government is run by for and of black Democrats. (as a comparison Detroit is 79% black and Baltimore is 62.8% black)

That’s fine with him. He only became a candidate to have something to say when his name pops up in the investigations of the Clintons. As a “candidate” he gets to say, “Trump is coming after me because he knows I will beat him so he is desperately trying to stop me with this investigation.” Maybe McCabe Comey Brennan and Clapper will announce soon.

Why would he schedule an event at the time when the Dem debate was taking place?
