NY Times' Baquet: Trump putting my reporters 'lives at risk' with personal attacks
The Hill ^ | 11 18 2019 | Joe Concha

Posted on 11/18/2019 6:10:33 AM PST by yesthatjallen

New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet alleged in a new interview that President Trump is putting reporters "lives at risk" by calling them names and personally attacking them.

“I think his personal attacks on reporters, including Maggie [Haberman], are pretty awful and pretty unpresidential,” Baquet told The Guardian. “I think personal attacks on journalists, when he calls them names, I think he puts their lives at risk."

“I think that when he actually calls reporters names, says they’re un-American, says they’re enemies of the people ... that phrase has a deep history," he added. "I think when he says that, it is an appalling attack on the press.”

Baquet was also asked if he thought Trump was a racist.

“I don’t know. I think Donald Trump says racially divisive things. I think that’s a little bit different. I’m not in his head enough to know whether he says them because he wants to stoke his base," the 63-year-old replied.

Tell her to wear a MAGA cap in public and see how dangerous her newspaper has made it for Americans.

Cry babies. Can dish it out but can’t take it. With 96% vicious negative coverage of President Trump, the Democrat media thinks we should respect them. Dream on, Lefties.

The Stalinists get very much alarmed when they language they originated is used against them. The realization is that there are people who understand their true nature.

Y’all need to go look in mirrors. Whatever you bring is on yourselves.

Your business model is failing and this is what worries you.

Well look at the good news. Soon the NY Times will be out of business and your “reporters” will no longer be in danger. /s

Nine percent of all U.S. Presidents have been killed by people who have been in part spurred to action by contemporary media, a greater percentage (Ford, Reagan) have had serious attempts on their lives. More Republican members of Congress have been seriously wounded by attacks of those who agree with the present “main stream media” and they DARE to worry that THEY are in danger?!

Boy, they can dish it out by the truckload, but can’t take a cupful themselves.

They’re leftist sycophants. Zealots for their religion of humanist progressivism. Fervent cultural Marxist evangelists, using MSM as their religious channels and pulpits.

They are unAmerican, anti-Constitution, anti-God, immoral hypocrite propagandists.

They are enemies within, clearly.

That could work both ways...relentless attacks on President Trump likely do put his life at extra risk.

In the meantime, Times “reporters” are free to call President Trump anything they want.

Have any of them been told they are unwelcome at restaurant?

Note to Dean Baquet: My cat won’t even do her business in her cat pan when I line it with the NYT.

The majority of the media is an enemy to liberty, what do they expect?
They could actually report the news rather than always slant it at the least or out right lie (usually).

Keep on talking, talking head, repeating the same lies and talking points distributed by your democrat commie handlers and Trump will keep on winning.

I love how the people who are totally convinced they are the smart ones are being completely unmasked by someone they keep trying to tell us is stupid, unpresidential, etc.etc. What do they think this says about them.
