EXACTLY! I’ve felt that same way for years, especially when it’s time to pay the property taxes.
I’m an American citizen, and I own property in America. That means I must pay the government whatever they want or they take it from me. That’s not what a government is for. It’s supposed to protect my property rights, not hold me hostage for it.
