Stealing is still immoral, even if you pass a law allowing you to wallow in envy. Socialists are evil, and they disgust me.

Red meat for the leftist base. It’s going nowhere at the speed of light. And in any case, taxes on unrealized capital gains is just code for a property tax which, is a direct tax that would trigger the apportionment clause in the constitution.

To think the DEMs will have no choice but to prop up this nutjob in 2020. Secretly, though, they probably want her around.

now is the time to eliminate the federal income tax!

(which was ‘sold’ to the American public on false pretenses, that “no working person will ever have to pay as much as a single dime in the new federal income tax!”

it was sold on the basis of “going after the rich robber barons” (top 1%)... specifically the owners of steel mills, railroads, and banks

(also there was no withholding! that was sold to the American people as a necessary TEMPORARY ww2 wartime measure to speed up cashflow collections for the re-arming effort. Withholding was supposed to end after ww2)

let the D’s finish f***ing themselves with their phony ‘impeachment’ circus........ let’s push NOW to get rid of this accused federal income tax (which only enables the Commie/D’s to screw us with our own $$$, anyway).

“Tax unrealized Capital Gains in Real Estate ect.”
How would that work exactly, would you need to sell the property to pay the tax? Great plan.

Both Sanders and Warren have pushed an economic program that will make projected ROI for a lot of business go negative. The cyclical recession that has been held off with Trump's tax cuts and pro-business agenda will come exploding out of the economic desert like Mohammed's bloody hordes.

It'd be a bigger economic collapse than in 2008, and it would likely begin even before Warren or Sanders even took office. Their election alone would be enough to trigger it.

It's really too bad that Our BarMistress focuses just on the revenue side. How about deflating our bloated tax code? We should treat those fictional persons (corporations) just like real persons. When business can deduct, I can deduct. What people can deduct, business can deduct.

Yes, one set of rules for everyone. Just imagine how the money would flow into the government coffers if interest was not deductible for everyone, real and fictional people alike. Imagine if every one of us could take a depreciation deduction on capital purchases like homes and cars. And so on.

I tried to do some google research. From the best I can tell, no developed country has a tax on unrealized capital gains.

From Wikipedia...

“Schakowsky lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband Robert Creamer. She has two children and one stepchild.[39]

In 2005, Schakowsky’s husband pleaded guilty to failure to collect withholding tax and bank fraud for writing checks with insufficient funds. All of the money was repaid. Schakowsky was not accused of any wrongdoing.[40] While Schakowsky served on the organization’s board during the time the crimes occurred,[41] and she signed the IRS filings along with her husband,[42] the U.S. district judge noted that no one suffered “out of pocket losses”, and Creamer acted not out of greed but in an effort to keep his community action group going without cutting programs, though Creamer paid his own $100,000 salary with fraudulently obtained funds. Creamer served five months in prison.[43]”
