The anti-Trump movement can be divided into two primary categories: (1) the leaders who sell the daily narrative and (2) the "useful idiots" who form the army of haters. The leaders include the Deep State criminals and media who protected Hillary and continue to collaborate on anti-Trump propaganda. The leaders understand Eric Hoffer's statement that "hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all the unifying agents. Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a god, but never without a belief in a devil." I am not arguing that the useful idiot sheep do not hate. There is clearly a contest of virtue-signaling hatred within this group, each person striving for novel ways to express his hatred. I am arguing that the motivation of the shepherds is self-protection.

I disagree. Their motive is neither fear nor hatred. It is a naked power grab. So far this is a bloodless attempted coup. Next time might not be bloodless. Marxists and their derivatives, communism and socialism were birthed in the horrors of the French Revolution, and they continued slaughtering hundreds of millions of people for the next 200+ years. The younger, more impatient generation of commies in this country might try to seize power by force if this coup attempt doesn’t work for them.

I said the exact same thing to my husband last night.
Underlying their repeated desperate narratives and many attempts to illicitly remove the president, they are scared to death that their crimes will come out. As you say, of course they hate too, however the deeper motivation is fear.

Democrats are desperate need to find ways-—any way will do-—to discredit Trump to make themselves look good.
So far Trump has brilliantly thwarted Dems at every turn.
Democrats sorely lack a desire to uplift the nation to bigger and better things.
They can’t beat Trump with superior ideas, good governance, political know-how.
Impeachment is their last ditch effort. They are too stupid to realize even that wont work.
They have legalized bribery and extortion amongst themselves by calling it "lobbying".
Where are the honest men and women in American journalism? academia? politics?

They lack the wit to understand that Trump towers over them--intellectually and morally.
They’re afraid all their ties to the illicit drug money will be exposed. That’s their biggest fear.
Like a cornered rat or wounded bear.
And perhaps tens of thousands on the federal payroll who seldom showed up for their sinecure jobs stand to have their rice bowls broken.
As do even more worse than useless drones who live and work to undermine America while "earning" taxpayer funded salaries.
Damm straight they're scared. They fooking well should be!
Not just that.
There is enough evidence, although it is circumstantial in nature, that shows that the democrat party is heavily involved in human trafficking, drug trafficking and pedophilia.
