Sounds like donations to the Salvation Army are in order.
Put $5.00 in a kettle this morning. Thanked the bell ringer for his service. Great folks!
I used to give to the SA every year and every time I walked past a bell ringer. My dad and uncles were all WWII vets and to the day they died, everyone of them refused to give a nickel to the red cross and couldn't do enough for "Sally Ann" because of how they treated the GIs during the war.
I just figured if the SA was good enough for them, it was good enough for me: and it was until the summer of 2017 when The Salvation Army joined the rest of the "show me the money" charities and stiffed POTUS by canceling their annual fund raisers at Mar-a-Lago in protest of Trump's Charlottesville position.
F'em
I give everything I give to the DAV now.
