I was on a site where they don’t allow talk of politics. Yesterday there was a “funny” thread where we were supposed to try to “insult everybody”. It is a musician’s site, so I posted “Thanks to uTorrent I never have to pay for music again.”
But then I posted this, and it got me banned for being “political”. It was actually cultural. i.e. it was about people not liking to hear a certain name, and this is the content that got me banned:
I can offend a few with two words.
The first word is a common first name from a hilarious Monty Python skit: Eric.
The second word is less common, but related to a guy I once worked with In IT: Ciaramella
Saying those two words together today is like saying the N word to many people. It’s kinda weird.
