OKLAHOMA CITY — Two Oklahoma senators announced Tuesday that they have filed a bill to create the President Donald J. Trump Highway on the world-famous Route 66.
According to Senate Bill 1089, the renamed section of Route 66 will begin at the intersection of Highland Avenue near Miami and extend north and east through Commerce to the intersection of Industrial Parkway in Ottawa County.
“President Trump has done an outstanding job on behalf of our nation and Oklahoma,” said state Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow. “We feel like this is a perfect opportunity to commemorate the great impact his leadership has had on improving the economy and bringing jobs and commerce back to our great state.”
According to a news release, Senate Bill 1089 will require that the necessary funds needed for the cost of the signs be covered by the Senate and House authors and co-authors, meaning there will be no cost to the taxpayers for the signs.

Well, I like this very much.
The thing I like about it, is it reminds us of a time when our values were different. I can think of a lot worse things than returning to the values of the Route 66 time.
There are obvious exceptions to that, but our morals have taken a tremendous hit since then.
Look at what they are pumping into our kids minds at school these days.
I’d like it to be, “Route 66, Donald J. Trump”.
why not? The lib politicians got a hard-on naming roads after their commie leader Buttcrack Obamatard, why not Trump?

I agree. As much as I like The Donald, we are neither a monarchy nor a banana republic.
This is probably some little three block stretch of the old Route 66. I’d say why?
Trump’s name needs to be on massive long stretches of highway.

The TV show debuted in 1960 when I was 13 and in the midst of full blown motorheadedness. I loved the theme music by Nelson Riddle, too. Those were the days.
