Since you bring up “juror”, if I were a jury candidate during voir dire jury selection, and it came out that I had a direct vested interest in convicting the defendant, I would rightly be rejected for that panel.

The vote for conviction in 1868 fell one vote short of two-thirds (at a time when 10 Southern states had no representation in the Senate--only Tennessee of the former Confederate states was represented).
If they don’t recuse themselves they must drop out of the rat primary. Yeah, like that will happen! Rules of decency apply only to Republicans.
