Smugglers are sawing through new sections of Trump’s border wall
WP ^ | 11 02 2019 | Nick Miroff

Smuggling gangs in Mexico have repeatedly sawed through new sections of President Trump’s border wall in recent months by using commercially available power tools, opening gaps large enough for people and drug loads to pass through, according to U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the damage.

The breaches have been made using a popular cordless household tool known as a reciprocating saw that retails at hardware stores for as little as $100. When fitted with specialized blades, the saws can slice through one of the barrier’s steel-and-concrete bollards in a matter of minutes, according to the agents, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the barrier-defeating techniques.

After cutting through the base of a single bollard, smugglers can push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the gap. Because the bollards are so tall — and are attached only to a panel at the very top — their length makes them easier to push aside once they have been cut and are left dangling, according to engineers consulted by The Washington Post.

Although PDJT denied saying it, I think the addition of a MOAT, filled with alligators, etc., would be absolutely wonderful to complement the WALL.

Still, a little electrification wouldn’t hurt the cause either.

Thanks for the ping.

Yardstick nails it in post 99.

Bottom line is that sensors are available to detect this well known threat, that can provide adequate time to allow response - by design.

No surprise here, no showstoppers.

GOD’S HARDEST WALL ON PLANET EARTH

The hardest wall ever requires dynamite and a demolition team to breach. You have seen it on the highway, as you drive through a rock hillside. The vertical drill holes had dynamite inserted to blow up the rock.

That is the toughest wall on God’s planet Earth.

It is mostly metallic rock, but the manmade version is held together by metal rebar, binded with concrete.

That is how a real Engineer would build a Wall.

Build it!

There are ZERO electronics the are easily turned off by Democrats.

After reading many comments, there appears to be only one problem. We will never win until we start using deadly force on those illegally attempting to come into our country.

We are in the exact opposite situation to the communist countries up to now. With the Berlin wall and the Korean DMZ the communists kill to stop those fleeing communism and we are attempting to stop communist infiltrators from coming into our country.

The leftist lawyers will always try to stop agents from killing illegals the moment they are here on our soil and our leftist diplomats and bureaucrats will always try to stop agents from killing them while the illegals are still on their foreign soil.

We are in a no win situation against the illegals until we grow some cojones, speaking in their vernacular.

If Democrats turn off monitoring of concrete walls, simple ladder attacks will be easier than sawing bollards.

Without adequate monitoring and response, any obstacle is vulnerable to breaching, climbing or tunneling.

. There is no significant advantage to a solid concrete wall operationally, but they do seriously hamper observation, detection and shorten warning times available for response.

If it slows things down AND funnels people here or there for better capture, that's better.

Then they are captured and are given an onsite bench ticket and let go to appear for a hearing in two years. What good did that do?

As that lady in that movie said, "YA can't come in!" That is the final answer.

Description of the wall design. Excellent video, watch the whole thing. Description starts at 8:55.

Very strong steel, very strong steel rebar, filled with very strong, 5000 lb concrete. Electronic sensors to warn Border Patrol about incursion attempts and WHERE to respond.

I call BULLSHIRT on this FAKE NEWS story.

This is not “Trumps Wall” this is the wall the GOPE stooges, along with the Democrat Fascists, in the US House imposed on Trump. This is the “compromise” wall the Democrat Fascists insisted on in place of the wall Trump actually wanted built.

No wall is impenetrable, the entire point of it is to allow border patrol to detect and react in time to breaches. There will be monitoring backing up the wall too.

Funny: Tried & failed to find a pic of the supposed breach.

Only images I could find were in a video of sections of prototype wall which were breached by CBP in a test.

Note WAPO is citing ‘anonymous’ agents refusing to back up their bullsh*t with locations where photos can be taken to confirm their bullsh*t because that’s what it is.

In 5 yrs of living in El Paso and almost daily visits with BP and farmers that literally had the fence in their backyard not once did I hear a word about cutting the fence.
