Yep. But he is a politician now ... an incumbent Republican politician seeking reelection.
Trump was a CEO yet his personnel skills have been .... shall we say ... underwhelming. That has been a surprise.
Keep in mind he had thousands of positions to fill. Hiring someone to be a Secretary is quite different than hiring an architect or project manager.
He will get it figured out.
Not really if you understand Trump.
Remember our POTUS was NOT a politician when he took office.
He has and always be an American first.
I'm certain that he assumed that any staff he hired would be Americans and not traitors.
It's really a shame that he *thought* most of the people he kept over from Obama felt some kind of loyalty to this Country.

Does anyone ever wonder why the DNC/GOP deep state thinks they can defeat Trump? Perhaps they really do believe he is a clown who just lucked into winning the presidency my leveraging his media experience. And since, in their estimation, he really is just a clueless blowhard, that means they're confident they can constantly set him up and then run parliamentary circles around him.
Now, what if we consider they are only 50% right? That, rather than some kind of 4D chess champion, Trump is at heart exactly what we're seeing as evidenced by his personnel choices and management style? A whole lot of faith is invested in Trump to pull off a victory, but so far the deep state hasn't taken a single hit. (Cue the "Be patient; who are you, the expert" chorus.)
Both JN, myself and certain others think Trump should have escalated this affair long ago. OTOH, perhaps the MIC isn't behind Trump; after all, ambitious officers don't get promoted protecting the nation's borders. Rather, careerists want overseas command positions with lots of men & materiel at their disposal.
If one were to take an objective approach, there's a lot to consider that just maybe Trump isn't the right guy. Sure, had the right message, but ultimately the wrong guy to actually execute the plan for restoring the republic. If that's the case, then whether Trump prevails, and/or wins another election, then it's all just a temporary blip before DC takes over running the country again.
Like so many CEO’s he is a “big picture guy” and so much of the minutia falls through the cracks.
The Fed is like a Fortune 500 company times 100 and the shear number of even high ranking underlings is mind boggling.

Guessing you were a Cruzer, It was his “his personnel skills” that got him elected, plain and simple. if he would have taken others advice he wouldn’t have made the primary. It was HIS personnel skills and his alone that has gotten more done and kept more promises than any smelly politician i’ve seen in my life... Trump underwhelming !HA!
