My home county of Fairfax, Virginia was once a safe suburban area with some of the best performing public schools in the nation. It's now a blinking warning sign to America as it hangs on the edge of complete disaster thanks to unchecked immigration and Democrat takeover of the government.
Even with the high concentration of government workers, Fairfax County was once a Republican bastion before it became a political battleground. The Bush/Cheney ticket won the county in a close race in 2000 and then lost it badly in 2004 due to a significant increase in Democrat votes.
Fairfax's descent into its current state started with a wave immigration, much of it illegal, into the area which washed away Republican political viability.
Fairfax County became a nullification (sanctuary) county in 2018 and now puts a significant chunk of money into its budget to defend noncitizens from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, although the problem started long before that. By 2015, 30% of the county was foreign-born.
MI-13, a brutal criminal gang, is now more active than ever, and the once marquee schools have started what will be a long slide through mediocrity to abysmal. Fairfax just ranked seventh among the highest-crime sanctuary jurisdictions, ranking just below Chicago and tied with a nearby Maryland county that has had at least nine illegal alien sexual assaults since its sanctuary policy was declared in late July. That's staggering. Fairfax County now is on a list of shame with Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, and San Francisco.
Even apart from the rapidly deteriorating safety, the schools are sinking under the fiscal and social costs. It costs on average $15,283 to educate each of the 188,000 students in the county. That's an enormous bill, and the cost for limited–English proficiency students is likely about $10,000 higher.

Only about a third of that money for kids goes to education, of sorts, the other two-thirds goes to administration costs (not teacher’s salaries).

Many people throughout the country can attest that their once-nice area has descended into chaos.
You GOP folks in Virginia want to get your state back......get out and vote across the state this coming election day and make certain your state legislature stays in control of the GOP....then down the road apiece get your Governor candidate elected by raising money and turning out to vote in massive numbers!!! and get Trumpie to rally In Virginia before election day, 2019!!!

I know a teacher there. 1/8 of his students don’t come to class regularly and the administration allows it. They have to be passed. He is worried about running into them when he is out.
Sounds like a great Democrat success story. The Rats will takeover and then destroy everything followed by societal collapse and the need to eat zoo animals like Venezuela. Mental illness is elevated and common sense is punished or worse.
Compare hundred year old grammar school tests to those of today. The devolution of standards is a national tragedy.
And make videos and pictures of your county today and find pictures and videos from the recent past. Show what sanctuary city status and democrats do to an area. Get them to state and federal GOP candidates to use as a warning of the result of dem control.

GOP has provided nothing but enabling to the takeover. The citizens of fairfax have had nothing to say. Women are out of the homes not paying attention.

My wife and I collect old text books from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The difference is staggering.
When will the American people wake up to the root cause of this destruction, misery and degradation of our cities and states?
When will they realize that electing democRATS is going to turn their homes and communities into third-world shitholes?
I mean what do the democRATS running for president offer the American people in their policies and political platform? All negatives. No positives.
From open borders, allowing illegals to flood the country, to raising taxes to pay for illegals welfare, to depravity in pushing LGBTABCXYZ rights and telling grown men they can identify as women and prowl women's bathrooms and weak males dominating women's sports, to taking guns away from law-abiding citizens to assuage the liberals' guilt over mass shootings, to reparations for blacks after taxpayers have forked over close to $25 trillion in poverty programs, mostly to blacks, since the passage of the 1964 civil rights bill, to increased homelessness, drug-use and filth and pestilence in urban centers.
None of it positive and yet liberals still vote for the democRATS. When will it stop? When will the American Left acknowledge they are destroying America?

I am a bit more west of Fairfax, in Fauquier County. We are seeing it here, too. As the libs saturate Fairfax and nearby areas, they move west and south for the cheaper taxes and less unaffordable housing, and for the better quality of life for their kids as they grow up. Trouble is, they bring their socialism with them. They run for offices and demand they same lifestyles as they had in the cities.
The canker grows and spreads out. Fauquier and Culpeper counties have the MS-13 gangs, the perpetually offended libs, ever ready to sue and the elected officials always eager to go left on all topics. Tax increases, social engineering.
The Democrat party is their transmission belt, already in place in all the counties, cities and towns. The Dem’s well-oiled machinery of cash promises for, and dog-whistles of offences against various voting blocks is efficiently winning election after election.
It is such a winning tactic that even many of the pubs are going left to appease the ‘new center’, as it is perceived.
Trump has done so much for the country, even at the local level. Low unemployment, better judges, etc. But as the socialists gain more footholds each election cycle, we can expect to see inner city woes come to our rural communities at a faster pace.
