A Georgia woman has been charged with killing her 1-year-old child, telling investigators she hit the boy because she was angry that he'd soiled his diaper, according to local reports.
Trinity Pittman of Palmetto, faces murder and child cruelty charges in the death of her 20-month-old son, Conner Perry.
Pittman, 23, took her son to the emergency room on Friday night, telling medical staff he had been injured after falling off a trampoline. The staff became suspicious and reported that the injuries were not consistent with a fall; his abdomen was full of blood and his lungs were filling up with fluids, 11 Alive reported.
Police reportedly said they interviewed Pittman and her boyfriend, Jeremy Davis, 24, and their accounts of what had happened did not align.
Pittman later admitted that she had lied about Perry falling off a trampoline and confessed that she was angry at her son because he had soiled his diaper, the television station reported, citing warrants.
She reportedly admitted to police that she had hit her son several times after he did not obey her demands and at one point, Perry fell on the floor and hit his head after she hit him.

I call it "Not Guilty By Reason of Ovaries."
The only explanation I can muster for this trend is that the system and culture do not want to hold mother accountable for killing their offspring, because it hits too close to home vis a vis abortion.
This was a pretty clear case of a beating and murder, but I bet if I follow up in a few weeks, the "postpartum depression" or other angle will be used in her defense.
I am not saying postpartum is not a real thing. I am commenting on its abuse as a defense in crimes.
Meth head
Could be.
Postpartum depression 20 months after the birth?
There is another explanation for this.
The little boy is in heaven now, a far better place than down here.
23 years old with a boyfriend.
We had our first at around 30. Twins at 33. Especially after dealing with our twins that required a LOT of attention, I was sure glad we were older - and married. It is difficult raising kids. Even more difficult for the poorly adjusted and self-centered twenty-somethings of today.

The technical term for when a mother kills her child is maternal filicide. An estimated 200 women kill their children every year in the United States. I use the term kill rather than murder, because the latter has a legal meaning, and even mothers who deliberately kill their children often are found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. In fact, a 1969 study conducted by Dr. Phillip Resnick found that when mothers kill their kids, 68% are sent to mental hospitals and only 27% are sent to prison; when fathers kill their children, 72% go to prison and only 14% are hospitalized. In 1997, a US Department of Justice study found that children under the age of eight are more likely to be killed by their mothers, while those eight and older are likelier to be killed by their fathers. Throughout childhood, sons are more likely to be killed than are daughters.
Probably won’t get much jail time.
It certainly is. I hope anyone on the thread reading my postings does not conclude I am attacking women or motherhood.
My wife and I raised three, and I adore mothers.
But the sin of abortion has tainted our land, and I believe its tentacles have spread to the criminal "justice" system. That's why we see such disparity in cases where mothers kill their own children.
Amen.
Dreadful. RIP.
Where’s the father ?
Exactly. It is insidious, but prominent for those of us who see.
Society is a vast woven and varied fabric. Abortion is a tear within.
Guilty.

23 years old with a boyfriend.

There is also a 4 year old who has been placed with family who is not named.
1.) She should be forever racked with uncontrollable grief and remorse....
A bullet to the back of the head will relieve her from the hell she is in.
2.) There is a chance she feels no grief at all no remorse
A bullet to the back of the head Will relieve her of the hell she should be in.
Either way the answer is simply a bullet to the back of her head.
...just sayin.
