No video of the firing.
High Intensity???
Seriously???
Who wrote this???
Barrel appears to be steel...
Political power grows out of the nozzle of a 3-D Printer.
You do not think the .223 is a high intensity cartridge?
It operates over 50,000 psi!
Much higher pressures than the .357 magnum.
55K PSI detonating next to your cheek is pretty intense. YMMV.

Compare it to any rifle round.
It is at or below pressure of most common hunting rounds, including the .243.
Considering that MOST rifle rounds are in the 50-65k range,
calling the 223, high intensity, seems JUST A TAD superfluous.
Unless, high intensity refers to another metric, such as bullet energy.
That is an even weaker case.
But only TYPICAL for ANY other rifle, other than a .22
Seriously???

Usually, "high intensity" refers to operating pressure, and the .223 definitely qualifies.
It is usually considered a "medium power" cartridge. Certainly not in the same class as a .308, but it is a serious rifle cartridge.

Sooooo...how many rifle rounds have a LOWER pressure, than the .223
Almost every rifle round fires at 50k or above.
Try out a T/C Contender with a 10 inch barrel chambered .223, and then tell me it’s not “High Intensity”.
I see that thing as being mostly a substitute for a wooden stock.
Well, yes. It is a high pressure “high intensity” cartridge. Just because it is a small caliber.... The 308 Win/762 Nato runs at a bit more- 60K, the 30/06 the same etc. Modern 556 Rounds run at 68k ( M855A1).
Even the biggest magnums run at only 65k psi....
It runs on what appears to be an AR bolt & carrier/barrel extension and barrel- where all the pressure is held, it just is manually operated, a straight pull AR if you will. Similar designs are used with success in places like the UK ad AUS/NZ, where the subjects, like those in leftist state in the US are not permitted self-loading evil rifle 9 regardless of the fact hat real criminals will obtain/use whatever they wish to perpetrate their crimes).
The .223 Remington cartridge is a high-intensity rifle and pistol cartridge.
High-intensity is a descriptive.
It is placed before rifle and pistol.
If it were placed before pistol alone, then the argument would be valid.
But it's placed before rifle also. with 50-55k being typical.
As for pistols, yeah it's a beast.
As only a 500 mag and 454 casull are in the same ballpark
I was talking about the intensity of the experience.
I would think that the metal components would be the barrel, barrel extension, bolt carrier group and hammer and trigger components (springs and pins).
It did not claim to be an “All Plastic” firearm.
So, basically what you’re saying is, is that virtually EVERY rifle round should be called high intensity.
Making the descriptive pretty meaningless.
Another clever use of pre-engineered and readily available components... which is a totally legitimate step on this path.
Lower intensity rifle rounds: .22 hornet, .25-20, .25-35, .30-30, .32-20, .32 Winchester special, .303 British .35 Remington, .38-55, .45-70 etc.
You make a point. It is a mid-range, not a very high-powered rifle load. Many common loads are much more powerful.
The point of it being high intensity, is the technology is capable of being used with high intensity cartridges.
