Boris has done everything he could. Sadly he couldn’t stop Parliament passing a law to legally require the government to request an extension.
There is only so much he can do with this vexatious parliament, and the FTPA means he can’t call an election without the consent of the opposition.

According to a sunday news report this report is inoperative and france is reported to be holding out on approving an extension...
(The france holdout does not in general seem to be emphasized in msm articles... one wonders if that is by design or benign neglect...)
