FULL TITLE: Oklahoma judge halts law requiring doctors to inform patients that medication abortions can be counteracted

An Oklahoma judge on Wednesday temporarily blocked a new law requiring doctors who administer medication abortions to inform women that the process may be reversed.

The Oklahoma County District Court had been asked to block the law by the Center for Reproductive Rights just before it was to take effect on Nov. 1. Oklahoma County District Judge Don Andrews issued a temporary injunction, which will remain in place while the case is fully litigated before the judge.

The state’s Republican-led Legislature approved the measure and it was signed into law by Gov. Kevin Stitt earlier this year. The legislation requires providers to tell women who are pursuing medication abortions, which consist of a series of two pills, that the process may be reversed if a woman has second thoughts after the first pill is ingested. It would also require signs be posted inside clinics where medication abortions are performed. Doctors who do not comply would face felony charges.

"The judge didn't rule on the merits of the case and only decided to retain the status quo moving forward, pending more evidence," Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter said in a statement after the judge's ruling. "The state remains committed to defending this law that requires doctors to inform women they can opt to reverse the process."

Abortion is their sacrament, sex their religion.

Oklahoma judge halts law

Where does a judge get the authority to do that? Isn't it his job to see that laws are obeyed?

An abortionist is not a doctor. He may have the training, but the second he decided to use the training to commit harm, he gave up the right to call himself a doctor. And since an abortionist is not a doctor, the law never applied. Sad.

Why do the authorities obey a judge? A judge only translates the law accordingly in a case.

Oklahoma is fast circling the drain. Because the stoners stole our marijuana referendum we now have 200,000 registered dopers. For every one of them, figure two more are buying it from their buddies who actually have a card.

During elections, our metropolitan areas (OKC and Tulsa) go blue.

The liberal filth are stealing OK the way they've done to kommiefornia, orygone, kolorado, etc, etc.

And it's showing in our (absolute joke of) courts.

What about the many drugs that have cautions that read MAY cause ABORTIONS? Cytotec (misoprostol) is one such drug.

But can you sue a doctor who didn’t inform you of this option? Place your bets.

Judges typically file injunctions when a party could be harmed by a law. This evil judge is doing so to ENSURE harm — eg. to prevent any women from getting information that could save a human life. The judge is mandating that ONLY the killing of innocent human life is permitted while the case is litigated. Is there really any hope under God for a nation with “wise” men in robes ruling this way?

God given rights, such as the freedom of speech, is also paramount. Requiring specific speech to be uttered by a doctor about a not approved method of countering a drug induced abortion is certainly something that could be brought before a judge.

Supporters of this have done a great service in making sure word of this has gotten out there, but I doubt it'll pass court muster.

In the meantime, some murderers go free because a police officer might have missed reading a couple words of his Miranda rights.

We have to hear about hundreds of side effects of other drugs daily during the commercials on our televisions, and then again from our pharmacists, but this demented judge for no reason whatsoever, can say that a law requiring a doctor to make a statement is invalid?
