This is still Bush’s Republican Party. Tne neocons and defense contractors (and Saudi lobbyists?) still run the GOP.

They are furious with Trump for crossing them, the real powers in the party and the government

Trump has tampered with the forces of nature

Don’t be surprised if the Senate votes him out

Oh take a breath

They ain’t gonna even get to vote because Pelosi won’t take a vote in the house

Mitch and Lindsey and Mitt aren’t enough

Plus this was written before the cease fire was brokered

Well, events have overcome this article as it were.

Erdogan has agreed to a cease fire, and so have the Kurds. Now Syria will step in, too. It is there country, and no matter that these same Republicans supported Assad's removal, he won, regardless of what Trump did.

When people think about what had just happened, and how quickly the treaty was effected, I think public opinion will see this as a good thing that Trump has done.

This won't sway a single democrat or Never-Trumper, but for wishy-washy RINOs, they'll get on board sooner rather than later.

Don’t be surprised if the Senate votes him out

Nope. That would be like putting a gun to their own ghead and pulling the trigger. Trump voters would toss them on their collective asses, and they now it.

Nice to see the Globalist’s trumpet rag jumping on the gravy train.

Do they really think that with Trump gone and Rats running the country again that things will be peachy and revenue can be collected from all the usual suspects running the endless wars?

Rats wanna shift the cash to their buddies. That’s what the fight is all about.

Hope you’re right, but the elements of an establishment coup are falling into place, the latest being the admiral (in NY Times today) saying trump is attacking the republic

“instructing Trump”

do these moronic jackasses writing this stuff have NO CLUE how the US Constitution works? Congress cannot not “instruct” the Executive to do anything.

The WSJ is as Never-Trump as any of the rest of the rags and drivebys.

Every day there’s multiple stories on how bad Orangeman is.

I remember when the WSJ were somewhat conservative, at least their editorials, but that was long ago and far away...

... and legislation—crafted with Democrats—instructing Mr. Trump to explain his plan for Syria to Congress.

TRUMP: "My plan for Syria is to bring all the U.S. military personnel home. That will change only if Congress declares war against a foreign adversary. Now ... What is YOUR plan?"

by opposing endless war, Trump has “meddled with the primal forces of nature”. He has enraged the establishment

the establishment - deep state/military/industrial complex/neocon network, globalist fat cats, whatever you want to call them - want him out

The agOP senators are not independent actors. They dance on big donors strings. You think Lindsey doesn’t take orders out of greed or fear of blackmail?

Trumps position is not as secure as you or I wish.

WSJ hasn’t changed. They’ve always been prowar. That’s how they define “conservatism”. That’s how many Freepers defined it , too, during Bush years

I don’t think so...if the Senate ever impeached Trump there will be an immediate armed civil war....maybe you folks did not witness the 52,000 folks that turned out for last evening’s Trump Rally. As a matter of fact any House Democrat that votes to impeach Trump is not going to have an easy, gentle life from millions of American, second amendment, gun owners...period!!! Vote as you will Democrat fools!!! Reality is reality...folks!!! Get this....Pelosi, Schiff & Nadler, the fake News, Media, etc., are living in “Never, Never, Land”!!!

Trump may not be perfect, but he is infinitely closer to a dynamic reality than 99.9% of his critics in the business community. We need to fight back with an argument based upon various truths found in the interactive dynamics of our honorable history.

“ I don’t think so...if the Senate ever impeached Trump there will be an immediate armed civil war.”

I notice the talk now is having the Senate trial just before Christmas

How Convenient!!! Americans will be distracted , traveling, vacationing. In other words, it won’t be easy to get proTrump protest rallies organized

Even before the cease fire, the explanation was quite simple:

  1. The troops were sent there in an advisory and support role to clean out ISIS, the fanatical group of ruthless terrorists which BO allowed to come to power by bugging out of Iraq prematurely.
  2. The troops were allowed to stay so long as the situation remained stable and the cleanup of ISIS continued.
  3. The situation, however, changed into a factional civil war with Turkey, a NATO ally (albeit in name only) deciding to get involved.
  4. There was no compelling U.S. interest involved in either siding with or fighting against Turkey, so the next best thing to do was to get our troops out of harm's way and attempt to get the waring sides to agree to a cease-fire.
  5. Which, BTW, was exactly what happened.

What's YOUR solution, Grahamnesty and other clowns?
