Romney: Ceasefire Announcement ‘Far from a Victory’
Breitbart ^ | 10/17/2019 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 10/18/2019 6:14:04 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

During a speech on the Senate floor on Thursday, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) stated that while he welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire in Syria, “It is far from a victory.”

Romney said, “I welcome the vice president’s announcement of a ceasefire, which will prevent further loss of life. I hope the agreement is honored. … The announcement today is being portrayed as a victory. It is far from a victory. Serious questions remain about how the decision was reached to precipitously withdraw from Syria and why that decision was reached.”

I just can't understand why he's president and we weren't.

I remember in 2012 voting for this fool and feeling sick after.

I sat out the 2012 election.

And my response to anyone echoing his idiotic sentiments about the Syria ceasfire is: It's been like what? a DAY?!

the peoples we're dealing with have been fighting for CENTURIES.

The influence of the donors is strong with this one. This is why he’s beloved by the Koch Brother, Golden Sacks, and the Warren Globalist-All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet.

If this guy votes to remove Trump, he will be run out of office- Mormon or not. If he thinks voters will forget that come election day he is delusional.

No, Mr. Romney, a complete victory would be your retirement from public life. You are a craven coward who is too afraid to stand for anything that won’t garner you praise from the New York Times.

Romney is living proof that voting for the lesser of two evils is a poor way to go through life.

That is ok. Romney is far from honorable. What a weasel. My apologies to all real weasels for comparing them to Willard.

You know something, I think you nailed it. This POS thinks he being bold and courageous by going after Trump.

Fact is, the jack@ss doesn’t realize that it takes MORE courage to stand up for Trump.

It’s like being a Christian, sometimes you take the slings and arrows.

I have zero respect for the man. He’s a pompous @sshole, the kind you went to school with who was on the High School Swim Team....etc.

Ol’ sanctimonious, Harvard educated, Mitt, wants/needs the national discussion on anything but corruption with Ukraine. Mitt is not only an elected US official, but an American oligarch. What ‘power’ he swings.

I could not believe that those people elected that carpet-bagger in the first place. Willard makes the smarmiest used car salesman look like a pillar of virtue.

“I remember in 2012 voting for this fool“

I don’t because I didn’t. In fact, I remember cheering when he lost

Even back then I realized how dangerous the neocons were. Romney was surrounded with them , like his top aide Max Boot. An Obama victory offered hope the that the GOP could be freed from the neocons foreign policy craziness (I didn’t vote for Obama, but I couldn’t vote for Romney)

OKAY A-Hole.

Define, EXACTLY, what you mean by VICTORY.

If an action is ONGOING for 5-10-15-20 years it can’t be described as an outcome like VICTORY.

Trump inherited these endless wars.

What is VICTORY Mitt? What are we doing? How many more TRILLIONS are we going to pour into situations that can deteriorate over night?
