This is how empires collapse... Original founders are intelligent men and woman of vision - - people normal citizens tend to turn to and to trust. Then these 'giants' of mankind have children.

They want what's best for their kids... so they 'assist' them with getting jobs and power - - above their skill level. 'Born on third - think they hit a triple' children.

The problem is mother nature fights the effort...

There's a natural regression toward the mean going on... High IQ... high power people DO NOT throw those exceptional genes to all - or even 'most' of their kids.

So over time empires are ruled by petulant jerks with limited ability. And it all starts to fall apart. The 'swamp' tricks to keep power start to fail.... In business it means the family business fails. In politics it means the country fails.
