Trump’s Syrian Maneuver Works – President Erdogan Asks for Negotiations With Kurds in Syria
CONSERVATIVE TREEHOUSE ^ | 10/14/2019 | SUNDANCE

Posted on 10/14/2019 5:59:43 PM PDT by bitt

President Trump has played this out perfectly. By isolating Turkish President Recep Erdogan, and effectively leaving him naked to an alliance of his enemies, Erdogan is now urgently asking for the U.S. to mediate peace negotiations with Kurdish forces.

This request happens immediately after President Trump signed an executive order [See Here] triggering the sanction authority of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Erdogan called the White House requesting an urgent phone call with President Trump.

After President Trump talked to Kurdish General Mazloum Kobani Abdi, the commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, President Trump then discussed the options available to President Erdogan. As a result of that conversation, Erdogan requested the U.S. mediate negotiations. Vice-President Mike Pence announces he will be traveling to the region with National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien to lead that effort. WATCH:

You grasp what is going on. People keep insisting the Kurds were storming Raqqa screaming “America Akbar.” They were not. “Allah Akbar” was being screamed. You are 100% correct also about most of them being Maoist commies. Some may have been screaming “Bernie Akbar.” Believe it or not but there were actually Antifa morons that went to fight with the Kurds because in their words, “The Kurds get it and are comrades.”

Med port and a healthier Russian economy because he isn’t pissing away money on men and munitions in Syria. He also gets to hamper a guy he has no time for, Erdogan. He also gets to improve relations with the US by being magnanimous.

It is a big win for the US. It is a win for Putin. It is a win for Assad. It is a status quo ante for the Kurds. It is mostly a loss for Erdogan. It is a big loss for Iran.

Interesting...it's no secret that the Turks have wanted to invade Syria for years. But there were reports that the Turks were sympathetic to ISIS! So now that ISIS is "defeated", Trump pulls out and lets them have at it, except now the Turks cannot use the excuse they are going in to stabilize the region vice providing a safe zone for the Syrian refugees. Trump's move was destined to draw attention from the press and they're even using fake videos to highlight Turk "atrocities".

Now the EUtwits can't ignore what Turkey is doing! I'm no NATO expert, but I'm quite sure what the Turks are doing is grounds for expulsion from NATO!

There were a lot of people posting around here in the past couple of days regarding is it worth American lives for Kurd lives? Seems Trump had a plan that did not actually involve shooting, and it appears to be working. Wow. America has a great history in the past 40-50 years of abandoning our friends. Vietnam? Mumm, didn’t we leave and leave those people at the death by the Commies? The Kurds have fought against the terrorists and the rest of the muzzie horde. We talk of supporting them, to get them involved in fighting on that side of the war for us, and then, we want to walk away and leave them to the enemy? Geeze. To me, this is a stain on American honor. When we agree with someone to help us, we are to support THEM to the end, not cut them out near the end when it doesn’t look good for us anymore. There were a lot of ex-commie VC and NVA soldiers who left the commies and came over to out side in Nam. Then, we pack up and leave and those guys are at the mercy of their ex-bosses. Guess what happened to them?? I would bet they were horribly beaten, etc., and finally killed. We left them there. They should have been brought to the USA, every one of them. We left tons of former South Vietnamese soldiers who fought to the teeth for us, and we left them to the vices of the commies. That is not a good mark for us in my humble opinion.

The Middle East was a mess when all of us were born and the region will still remain a mess long after we have all departed this Earth. Whenever I read an article in a magazine or watch one of the talking head cable shows I cringe when I see that person presented as a Middle East “expert”. All these Middle East “experts” have put us in unwinnable situations over there at the cost of thousands of US servicemen and women, and trillions from our treasury. Enough already. It has been a religious war over there for a thousand years and more. Muslims hate Christians, Jews and anyone else who does not belong to their religion, and they don’t want to peace as we know it. That is never going to change and that will last to the last days of Earth. You don’t need to be an international policy wonk to know that.

Trump knows exactly what he is doing.

Just the rest of the world is a little slow to catch on.

It’s helpful to realise that this isn’t remotely like the Democrat betrayal of Vietnam.

Trump has waited for the Syrian situation to stabilise to the etxent that the Syrian Army (with help from the Bear) can defend the Kurds from Turkey. The Syrians will do this because they get to re-assert the borders of Syria.

This is great work from your President. Turkey is no longer hunting down Kurds, but is facing the battle-hardened Syrian Army, and ofc Russia.

We do have to watch for the Deep State arranging another fake Gas attack though.

How many successes had the US had from fighting in Muslim countries? One could argue that we saved Kuwait from the Iraqi army, but as you know, Gulf War 1 led to Gulf War 2, which was bad for the people on both sides, although somebody made big profits. Remember how Afghanistan was the “good” war and Iraq was the “bad” war? Coups in which US troops were not heavily involved, like Libya, are nothing to be proud of.

I think what Trump did is our best bet. The future is very much unknown, so there will always be more chances for the "experts" to second guess him. In some situations, every option has some negative outcome.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++That would be a Democrat controlled Congress that cut off funding to the South Vietnamese Government. Without the funding So Vietnam had no ammo. Every time there is a slick maneuver that hurts people look for the hand of the Dimmocrap Party the party of slavery for hundreds of years!

Pamella Geller had a photo up on her Facebook page. Had a couple of Antifa flags on the wall, with some guys in masks kneeling in front. A couple of guys were holding some type of commie flag. They could have been Portland Antifa.

Except for the RPGs they were holding. They were Kurds.

Who in our military, or military contractors was able to rake in enough 'speakers' fees' to get us to send nukes to an Arab country?

Can we assume the white trash Clintons were in on it? How many 'speeches' at half million for a cool 40 minutes bought that right?

Did you know Arabs resent the crap out of having to hire people (who often who don't speak English) to sit in rooms to satisfy the illusion that handing over a half million dollars to an American for a 'speech' isn't a bribe - - when they and everyone in the world knows it IS - and that Americans are dirty...

We have a horrible reputation out there in the real world. Can you imagine how we would feel if order to get a 'great trade deal' some third world politician (on the take but "legally" according to HIS legislature said, "before I can sign this deal and take the $400,000 'signing bonus' I have to 'dance for 5 minutes while you watch so I can tell 'the people of my country' that I was paid $400,000 to entertain them for 5 minutes.

That's what we do and everyone in the world thinks we're a joke - a corrupt silly joke. Eff the State Department fools, the jerks in "military' and the rest of the crooked deep state.

What about the story that the Kurds refused to transfer ISIS prisoners to the US because they were angry at Trump? Stories claimed that more than 10,000 escaped.
