Just a word about the Metro-State Auraria campus. The students there are for the most part democrat voters with a very strong sense of social justice ideals. The bums are what they voted for. They have not yet figured out what exactly did they vote for. Ideals verses reality.
I graduated from Metropolitan State College in 1992; this has been ongoing for years.

At least let them use the toilets and the communal showers. (And maybe get a free meal at the Dining Hall. - In my day this would have been beneath homeless standards, but I think they have real food now.)

....Hey, to the powers that be (or think they be....) who run Austin, Texas....read all of these posts carefully...what you read will be coming to Austin in the very near future....!! There have already been run-ins with the police, vagrancy, attacks on citizens, etc. (not sure about the crap on the sidewalks and streets but, hey, it’s coming soon enough...)

About 2-3 years ago there were so many homeless guys overdosing on heroin in the beautiful library DT, it was a real crisis. For one thing, there are lots of school groups that visit, for another, they were sleeping all over the library and the ODing was a serious issue. They instituted some new rules and brought lots of those narcon antidote syringes on site. I haven’t heard about any problems in a long time.

Is it suicide by alcohol? Is he self-medicating? Is it genuine alcohol addiction?
I’m not surprised that no one has helped him, when every social worker and clinical psychologist in the country is a worthless leftwad bucket of dog crap. (And please give me a break with anecdotes about exceptions. It’s close enough to “all” that the exceptions make no difference.)
