“Hot, humid, sub-tropical climate. Love bugs, fire ants, cottonmouths, rattlesnakes, copperheads, mosquitos, mud daubers..”
Much overstated. Too hot about three months out of the year, love bugs only in South Louisiana and South Texas, etc., mosquitoes handled nicely by dragonflies this summer. I did kill a huge, ugly rattlesnake about a hundred feet from my back porch. I think it was tracking my dog or cat. This is hardly Australia.

“The Democratic incumbent contrasted three recent years of budget surpluses with the deficit-riddled terms of his predecessor, Republican Bobby Jindal.”
He did not cut spending; he raised taxes. Sales tax now is 10 - 11%.

...If California continues downhill. I may be moving to Louisiana.... Hot, humid, sub-tropical climate. Love bugs, fire ants, cottonmouths, rattlesnakes, copperheads, mosquitos, mud daubers....did I mention mosquitos? Yeah, mosquitos that can stand flat-footed and kiss a turkey. Then, theres some wild, vicious critters in those bayous over there that can swallow a man whole. Other than that, the food and cuisine is like none other on earth. Good Cajun folks that love to party and great music to dance to.MYou forgot to mention chiggers, kudzu, poison oak, poison sumac, poison ivy, dog ticks, deer ticks, seed ticks, alligators, and liberals.

They need outlaw socialism immediately.
Then start rounding up and banishing Democrats.

If the Democrats had a good night, the media would call it a “bellweather” for 2020 and say Republicans are doomed.
Since the GOP had a good night, the media will ignore it.

No,having two drove the turnout up to keep Edwards under 50%+1. It worked just fine.

"If California continues downhill. I may be moving to Louisiana. But not New Orleans as its sinking." Stay north of I-10 and watch your topographical maps carefully and you should be fine. If you like small towns, I recommend the parish (country) seat of the parish where I grew up.....New Roads (and no, the name isn't French, but all else is). If I didn't have mold allergies, I'd move there in a New York second.

“Judging from that map, its hard to tell Democrats districts from flood plains.”
Regarding Louisiana politics it’s been said that “Half of Louisiana is underwater. The other half is under indictment.”

Australia? Who said anything about Australia? FWIW, I’d take south Louisiana any day of the week over Australia, but I didn’t exaggerate all that much. We’ve seen/killed all on that list with our own lying eyes...in south Louisiana. But I must admit that I wouldn’t know about any of that north of I-10 though....LOL.
We go over there quite frequently as we have lots of close friends and family there. Love the food and culture. Plus, most of my shooting buddies live over there.

LOL...well, I was trying to keep the post somewhat brief...and I didn’t want to scare her totally to death...LOL. Other than the liberals, one could avoid most of that by staying/living primarily in urban/suburban areas.
