The French people howled to do something about climate change until President Macron put the cost for environmentalist virtue signaling squarely on the price at the pumps. They’ve been rioting in the streets ever since.

[ As reported by Forbes, a United Nation’s special climate report calls for a global carbon tax of $49 per gallon of gasoline within 12 years. You read that right: $49 per gallon. At roughly 100 times the average state and federal gasoline tax, the UN’s carbon tax “suggestion” would raise the cost of a 13-gallon fill-up to over $600, just for the carbon tax. ]

My Corvette had a 20-gallon tank as I recall. My Jaguar had two 10-gallon tanks. (I’m sure it was in liters of course LOL)

Add in the cost of the gas to the tax and $1,000 at the pump!!

Make Earth Greta Thunberg’s Paradise!!! Wooooohoooo!!!!

It’s ok. They’ll just raise the minimum wage to $75 an hour. For everyone of working age or younger, whether they work or not. We seniors will be on our own. So we’ll gladly opt for the euthanasia option, over starving or freezing to death. Be at ease; soylent green.

The mega-rich climate shills who bellow the loudest about the alleged perils of global warming can easily absorb a gasoline tax of that magnitude.

Oh, really? Where, exactly, would they drive with the streets in flames and gangs of armed bandits swarming any vehicle on the road to take its gasoline?

Money quote from the article:

If Paris streets burned over a proposed 25 cents per gallon climate change tax, imagine the global conflagration over a $49 per gallon tax.

That’s what a United Nations special climate report calls for in 12 years, with a carbon tax of $5,500 per ton—equal to $49 per gallon of gasoline or diesel. That’s about 100 times today’s average state and federal motor fuels tax.

By 2100, the U.N. estimates that a carbon tax of $27,000 per ton is needed—$240 per gallon—to limit global warming to no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

President Trump was exactly right when he said the Democrat Party was nuts. They're completely f***ing insane.

That will completely destroy every economy in the world. Which is exactly what they want.
