For me, it was totally welcome news and totally unexpected.
Earlier when he was accused of sexual harassment, I figured his days at Fox were numbered. But nothing came of it. Now, something bigger must have happened.

I think it was the cat fight with Tucker. Tucker punched back and Fairy boy went to management. Management refused to suspend Tucker and Shemp quit. That’s my guess. I’m sure he will write a kiss and tell book about Fox. Probably during election season next year.

I’m a little dense (or eccentric), but didn’t Sheppard Smith just do straight news for years? It seems it was just in recent years that he began his snide liberal commentaries. Or did I just not notice it before?

Smith was one of Fox News Channels original hires in 1996 and has covered nearly every major story for more than two decades.
The first time I ever saw Sheppard Smith was when he was standing out in front of the New Orleans Superdome crying about George Bush not coming to ''take care of these kids'' I knew he was a left-wing a**ho!e.
At that point FEMA and the Salvation Army had trucks full of supplies waiting on the other side of a bridge ready to come in.
Smith was a so-called newsman who didn't know that Ray Nagin, the mayor, was blocking them because he didn't want the Superdome to attract people to come there for help.
I knew that they were there waiting, why didn't this so-called newsman know that? During all the coverage he did while in New Orleans, he never once mentioned Nagin or that worthless Governor they had. He just kept hammering at Bush.
Goodbye and good riddance.

We should start a pool as to whether this dirtbag shows up on MSNBC or CNN.
