For a 137 years they have pushed society into becoming completely dependent on and addicted to electricity. Now they are putting them back into the stone age. This is honestly the craziest most irrational thing I have seen in my life. I think they are trying to knock off all the ill, weak, and ignorant to reduce population. If this causes any deaths they need the crap sued out of them for each one.

Mink DeVille did a cover version of his “Cadillac Walk”, but you’re probably referring to Hot Night in Dallas, with the sheet sticking to your skin.

Hadn’t thought about him in a long time.

Coincidence?

Not in the slightest way.

This is opportunistic and malicious intent.

Here in Oakland my kid’s about to have his second no school day in a row. I asked him if there was any wind here today - I was across the bay. He said “No.” Not a leaf rustling here now.

Even the Indians knew to burn before too much fuel accumulated. The Sierra Club then brought their wisdom to F things up.

Smart move by the utility

And I’m their competition- a solar contractor

Whether or not they caused the Santa Rosa fire in the Napa fire in 2017 or the paradise fire last year they took 100% of the blame and got sued and had to settle

I don’t honestly think that their transformers caused the fires but that doesn’t matter here in liberal La La Land so they’re doing what they need to do to prevent any blame for any fires and it’s a smart move on their part

What happens if the wildfires are started by arsonist/terrorist? And they have all the citizens in the dark without power and possibly without communications?

The middle of a rolling power blackout might be a good time to inform your fellow co-workers and relatives who are pro-dem/socialist what the New Green Deal is going to REALLY look like should it be implemented.

The new green deal depends on electricity and if you don’t have that.......

AND those generators are going to be pretty useless if they have no fossil fuels to run off of.

What else are they going to use?

Wind that isn’t blowing?

Solar panels that get busted?

Hydro power where there is no water?

ELECTRICITY???????

11PM and NO wind in the Bay Area.
I had my nephew break out the Y2K generator I bought 20 years ago to make sure my parents were taken care of.
Darn thing started right up...*snicker
California is now the stupid state...

Yes, I feel sorry for our patriotic conservative brothers and sisters in California. They bear a heavy burden, and it was boneheaded of me to paint all of California with a broad brush. Our brothers and sisters there are caught behind enemy lines. God bless them all.

California brush fires are caused by environmentalists.

They won’t allow proper management of the forestry so they turn a good chunk of the state into a giant tinder box.

Guess who ultimately picks up the tap for the massive fire suppression costs? That pink foam ain’t cheap.

At least they can’t shoot each other. They have no ammo.

That’s why there’s no gun crime in California.

Yup. Not as long as counties in LA have 112% turnout.

But . . . I am totally confident that this election will be watched like no other. And not by sclerotic government drones. I believe that the Trump administration is plenty smart enough to engage the private sector in election monitoring on every level, not just poll watching.

There will be plenty of poll watchers, too. You just won’t have any idea who they are.

Good for California. PG&E outsmarted them on this one. California in the dark is priceless. Just watch where you step! Needles, human feces and the like. And please, don’t move to Texas. We don’t want you.
