A high school in Ohio has promised to do away with the titles of homecoming king and queen after two girls were voted by their peers to win the "popularity contest."
At Friday night's football game, Milford High School named two female students "homecoming royalty," according to a press release shared on the district's Facebook page.
While the school has typically named a male student "king" and a female student "queen" at their homecoming events, Milford Exempted Village School District will now use the term "homecoming royalty" following the groundbreaking results. The choice to describe the two students who received the most votes from the student body as homecoming royalty, as opposed to the gender-specific "king" and "queen," is to help "ensure all students have the opportunity to feel included."
Choosing students for Homecoming Court is a long-standing tradition that has always been completely decided by student votes, and this year is no different, Nancy House, the superintendent of the district stated in the Facebook post.

How do they know they are girls? They may appear to be female, but we don’t know which of the 50+ gender identities they subscribe to.
And how can good liberals even talk of homecoming royalty? Doesn’t the notion of royalty offend their sensibilities in the first place???

The march to dismissing men from societal norms continues.
Imagine the uproar if two straight guys had wound up with a gentleman’s co-rule of the event.
We’d never hear the end of it. Decades from now they would be trashing the guys for dismissing equality or gender norms, preventing women from representation.
This nation is going to hell in a hand basket.
Who signs on to this B. S.?

Clermont County, east of Cincinnati. It's not all bad. This was in the news too: Milford High School is seeking veterans and active duty members of the military to speak with social studies classes in celebration of Veteran's Day.
