It was great to be a teen with Reagan in office.
Now it’s great to be 51 with Trump in office.
But I’d rather be a teen again!!

I was 11 when I happened upon a Reagan rally in NYC. It is like he just popped out there like a street preacher and people came to listen to his speech. I was part of a tourist group at the time and did not know what he was saying, not understanding English. I just waved the American flag with people around me when he apparently said something apt, lol.
The future was so bright you had to wear shades.

He was NOT very popular here. The steel industry was collapsing and tens of thousands were unemployed. Their union propaganda told them to blame Republicans, which they pretty much did.
