The red represents district boundaries, e.g. land, not people. The only thing that really matters on that map are the numbers at the top. Dems 235 (winners), Republicans 199 (losers). Majority matters. Thus the dems have the numbers in the House to go forward with this nonsense.
Trump just needs to build up his numbers in the Senate.
It would be interesting to see the county-level map for the 2016 election, in a side-by-side comparison.
Sometimes, Republicans can be their own worst enemies by talking themselves out of doing anything before they even try. Just because we "know" something to be, doesn't mean we can't still put it out there for others to draw their own conclusions.

Nope. District boundaries are so drawn as to encompass equal populations of people. They do NOT adhere to physical (land) boundaries. Legislative majorities of both parties strive to draw boundaries to encompass populations with majorities of "their" party as much as possible.
