Top Republicans in Congress -- including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell -- criticized President Donald Trump over his decision to remove US troops from northern Syria as Turkey plans a military offensive there. McConnell urged Trump to reverse his move, saying "a precipitous withdrawal of US forces from Syria would only benefit Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime."

Publically state that “Our Kurdish allies will retain the power and ability to call in airstrikes, in their own defense “

We’re going to disengage from a conflict in Syria by bombing a NATO ally?

term limits are needed.
These leaders don’t care what the rest of the country wants; to be out of these entanglements. People in the hinterlands are tired to sending their finest men to die in a place that won’t change and for people that don’t respect the effort.

When I was a child, I remember the media and the democrats fighting tooth and nail to get us out of Vietnam. Now that want us to stay in Syria.

The Kurds have been one of our most loyal allies in the Middle East. We've abandoned them before and the results weren't good - Saddam Hussein gassed entire villages and thousands of them.

The Kurds have been our most loyal ally against ISIS, they've directly provided intelligence and physical troops against them. None have fought harder than the Kurds.

To abandon them now (and again .... ) would send a VERY BAD signal to Turkey, Russia, China and ISIS - who has not been completely destroyed. There are thousands of ISIS prisoners in jails that are guarded by the Kurds. If we walk away from the Kurds now, who would want those thousands of ISIS prisoners to simply walk free once Turkey invades that part of Syria? They'll re-constitute and the war we thought we won would start anew.

I don't like war, and I don't like our troops being all over the place as much as the next guy. I'm simply stating the facts here. No way in hell we should abandon the Kurds.

To those who'll no doubt call me a war monger for this stance, I ask you: why do we still have troops in Germany? France? Italy? Spain? Poland? Elsewhere? You support them being there, why?

WTH is this fetish with Syria and the cesspool of the Mideast?

The deep state and the military industrial complex keep us bogged down in endless wars. It's all about the money and formenting hate. They sell arms to our enemies as well as to our armed forces.

Never forget how those arms that killed Bryan Terry came from the BATF.

Want to know why heroin has flooded our streets? You don't have to look any further than at those mentioned above.

By saying that Trump’s decision will only benefit Assad, the turtle just subtly admitted he is against the Assad “regime” and wants him gone. Remember when they told us they weren’t going to try to overthrow Assad? Remember when they said the troops would only be there until ISIS was destroyed?

Turtle is a scum.

To me, it’s simply a return to the status quo BEFORE Obama put Americans in the middle of a civil war for NO GOOD REASON.

Considering the House and Senate didn’t have the balls to vote for a declaration of war, I say STFU.
