Climate change activists' plan to spray fake blood on the Treasury did not get off to the best start.
Extinction Rebellion protesters used a hose from an old fire engine to spray 1,800 litres liquid at the 100 year-old building, but they quickly lost control of the powerful water jet.
Protesters say they are "highlighting the inconsistency between the UK government’s insistence that the UK is a world leader in tackling climate breakdown, and the vast sums it pours into fossil fuel exploration".
The Met Police said five men and three women had been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

The hose popped of the nozzle. Always attach the nozzle correctly, especially when spraying fake blood.
If you look closely you’ll see that the nozzle appears to have broken from the hose.

Back in '79 went to see a apartment construction site fire. We were across the street staying back.
Fire Chief came up a group of us and said "You, you,you,you,you follow me"
Gave me another guy a 2.5 inch line and said "Spray there".
We did for about 20 minutes then were relieved by other firemen.
Then the Chief instructed us to help other firemen drag hose inside occupied buildings to try to save them.
Perfect! And speed the video up too.
How much fossil fuel did their pumper truck burn during that stunt?
It was an impressive thing to a teenager, was it not? All that fire in such a small space...:)
Of course, most 18 year old men just love fire...don’t know why that is, but when you have to walk towards it, well...
it is probably more like the the retort of King George III when he read of George Washington’s comment in an account of the French and Indian War where Washington said: “I heard the bullets whistle and, believe me, there is something charming in the sound!”
When King George II read the account in a London paper, he is said to have exclaimed “By God, he would not think bullets charming if he had been used to hear many.”

At one point the hose spraying the red liquid lost control, spraying some of the activists in the face as it snaked across the road in front of the government building in Westminster...

Too bad it was not a very permanent dye that sprayed them.
Huh. So, if people weren’t morons and using fossil fuels, then these people wouldn’t be obligated to vandalize public property and wouldn’t have to “put these people in jeopardy”?
Or was a bystander yelling a the morons in the truck who put innocent passerby in jeopardy?
