With virtually all other political news besides impeachment screeching to a halt, some liberal activists are raising an uncomfortable question. Weren’t we supposed to be working on a new gun control deal? That’s going to be the topic at a forum in Las Vegas today when ten Democratic 2020 hopefuls will be discussing the issue close to the anniversary of the worst mass shooting in the country’s history which took place in that city. They clearly would all like to score a win on background checks at a minimum, but for some strange reason, the Republicans (and the President) might not be quite as willing to go along with the program.

The middle of a totalitarian deep state coup against the duly elected President of the United States is not the time to try to trick normal decent Americans into relinquishing their only defense against the totalitarian deep state.
As much as I am disgusted by our spineless republicans in office, I thank God that America’s enemies on the left are even stupider.
There is NO WAY Trump supports or signs any gun control legislation under current circumstances.

Simply, like the handgun ban demands of the 1960s-1980s, it is on the back burner for now. Like a zombie it will come back and back, and back due to Dem machinations.
And if an “As-s-s-ault rifle” ban is passed, rest assured the handgun ban demands will be back with a vengeance.
Gun control is over, snowflakes. Your reps dropped it for impeachment. Get over it!

The discovery that the shooters will be deranged Leftists pretending to be Trump supporters ("see, they are wearing MAGA hats") will be ignored. Like the last few times.

The plan works every time. The Democrats try to ghoulishly bathe in the blood of the freshly dead without waiting for the bodies to grow cold.
The response is to stall. That’s it. Just stall. Have talks about talks. Tie it up in a committee.
People get their emotions under control and realize a big gun grab is not the answer. Then the whole thing blows over.
