Impeachment? Bring it on. Trump can put the Dems on trial in the Senate
The entrenched elites of both parties and a large portion of the corrupt upper federal bureaucracy understand the mortal threat President Trump poses to them. This threat has been the driving force behind the continuous efforts to destroy the Trump presidency since (and before) the president's inauguration.
These forces have no doubt already figured out they can't beat the president at the ballot box. Impeachment is their last desperate chance to rid themselves of the man who has so effectively exposed their self-enrichment and multiple sell-outs of the American people. And now they think they see their chance...

Everything will be relevant in the Senate trial, and everyone, no exceptions, should be subpoenaed and interrogated under oath. That means Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Brennan, James Comey, Peter Strzok, and the entire gang behind the coup.
That includes Strzok, his girlfriend Lisa Page, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, and whatever Deep State apparatchiks lied to the FISA judge to enable a spying operation on the Trump campaign and transition team — a crime without precedent and one that massively outweighs anything that could credibly be alleged against President Trump.
Here is the most important benefit of this broad and aggressive approach to the president's defense: in confronting all those who have ceaselessly sought to reverse the 2016 election, President Trump's legal team this time will have a critical tool thus far denied them: the power to subpoena any and all persons, including all those who were elbow-deep in the Russia collusion hoax. Unlike during the feeble and tedious investigation conducted by the Washington elite's chosen operative, Robert Mueller, every single such person will be sworn and aggressively, publicly interrogated under penalty of perjury, by formidable trial counsel.

Then, the Senate can vote to not remove him because 1. He didn't do anything to warrant it and 2. the 2020 election will be imminent.
Not if the Senate won’t let him. I do not have a warm fuzzy about Congress and what they’ll do to Trump.
I don’t think the house will even vote to take up impeachment. Right now, it’s just talk to keep it in the news.

Remember, the REPUBLICAN controlled Senate in ‘99 voted 99-0 to NOT have witnesses during Clinton’s trial.

This is most dangerous wishful thinking. An "impeachment trial" is not bound by any judicial rules whatsoever. It is a strictly political process.
The outcome depends on the desires of the Senators. All of the Democrats will vote for conviction. Republicans who believe they can survive the aftermath will also vote for conviction. They all want the Deep State gravy train to continue running. President Trump is in the way of that.
The excuse of "high crimes and misdemeanors" might keep the public from turning against the Senators. They hope. We need to convince them that hope is in vain.
No Senator who votes for conviction should be permitted to remain in any position of authority.

The only reason the Republicans didn’t allow it was because of the optics of Clinton’s Secretary Bettie Curry an African American being questioned by a bunch of white guys and having Monica Lewinsky sitting up there was too much of an sordid idea in Senate Chambers. I don’t think the Republicans would allow everyone that this article listed as for being questions on the floor of the Senate, like Obama and maybe Hillary but there a few like Brennan and others that I do believe the Republicans will allow Trump legal team to call.
It will be posited as an “either ALL or NONE” choice when the Senate votes on the rules for the trial.
How do YOU think the Republicans will vote on that?
Republicans and John Roberts will limit Trump’s defense. They are all in on this coup with the democrats.
IF they had the cajones to stay in Obama and the rest this would end quickly.
The (D)'s need to understand this threat of discovery in any Senate trial. They need to know this is a real possibility, especially if Barr & Durham do not produce actionable results in the next few months.
If Barr & Durham strike out, a trial in the Senate with discovery really is the last hope of holding the coup plotters to account.
If you add up all the Dem Senators and the Republicans who are never-Trumpers, retiring at their next election or not up for re-election for 4 years, the total could be dangerously close to 67.
Dems and media, (but I repeat myself to quote Chris Plante), will probably have some kind of “October” surprise just before the Senate vote, even if it’s a lie, to persuade some Senators that they are just being righteous if they vote “guilty.”
The Clintons’ Fort Marcy Park patrol will be forced to work overtime getting rid of the potential witnesses most dangerous to them.
Has any person in the media,or even a Republican politician, asked exactly what do the Dems mean by an impeachment “inquiry.” I don’t think that anything with that name exists in the law. We know it’s just a reason to keep attacking Trump in the media. LIVers will hear only “impeach.”
Are the boxes and boxes of evidence and testimony against Bill clinton still gathering dust in the basement of the old Cobb Congre$$ional office building (COB)?
Testimony, affadavits, etc that were never seen altho it was available for viewing by any and all members of the Congre$$, yet was only viewed by a few,, and they left the secure storage area shaking their heads.
What passed for leadership was really a lack of a spine to uphold the law as the Constitution dictates. Oh, what an opportunity to lance the boil was lost.
