I do not blame Chief Koval for bailing; he really DID try to do a good job, but I guess you can only have your hands slapped, and the tied behind your back for so long while crime rates increase, shootings increase, car-jackings increase and whole once-lovely neighborhoods turn into ghettos. :(
Godspeed! Enjoy your retirement at get the hell OUT of Madistan!
(I left Dane County 3 years ago - it should've been sooner!)
Satya Rhodes-Conway is an American politician. She was a member of the Madison Common Council between 2007 and 2013. In 2019, Rhodes-Conway was elected Mayor of Madison, Wisconsin. She is the first openly gay person elected to that office.
Interesting. I wonder if in the long-game this helps Trump. I hate that your wonderful capital is so far gone, but I know Wisconsin will be back in a big way. Go Badgers! They need to work out some kinks in their game plan, but man have they got some talent this year—hope it’s enough.
This is basically the same as is happening here in Minneapolistan. Criminals are coddled.
I don’t understand this country’s obsession with homosexual “mayors” and police chiefs. It’s really weird, IMHO.
Been up there quite a few times over the years; seemed to be a quite decent place back in the early 2000’s.

We had a lesbian police chief in Minneapolistan. She got the boot a year or so ago. You have to be really bad to get fired in this liberal cesspool when you are of a protected class..

It is a gorgeous mid-western city especially in fall. But beware ...looks are deceiving. Like a gorgeous woman with every STD known to man, Madison under the surface is as rotten as they come politically and socially.
homosexuals find community in large cities. SF is the most extreme example. Easy to get a strong voter block in a city.
Wow. I liked Kovalev. His stance on illegal immigration was completely wrong, but he was a level-headed sensible guy. Yeah, no doubt the lesbian Communist mayor wants criminals to have the upper hand.
I live in SoCal, if anyone here lives in Madistan MOVE as quickly as possible, it will get Ugly quickly as soon as these Thugs Matter policies are implemented, Just look at California to see your future.
Chicago just elected a beaut too.
Yep. Shep Smiths sister-of-color. The eyes give it away.
Looks like the prick caught a well deserved right hook to to the eye socket.
Yep. Madison has all the hallmarks of a Leftist crap-hole.
I was out in Madison on business a year or two ago, and was sitting in a bar minding my own business, and this guy who was apparently some kind of leftist political functionary (from listening to his conversations prior to turning his attention to me) wanted to talk politics with me.
I avoid leftists like the plague, and this was no exception. So after the guy was badgering me for a while, I turned to him and said politely “I’m really not interested in discussing politics with you.”
He persisted, and I repeated my desire to avoid discussing politics with him. But he kept on.
Eventually, they kicked him out of the bar. I hate Leftists, especially drunk ones.
Koval was an A+ police chief working for an F- city government. He will be missed.
Winters there, and more particularly in Appleton were some of the coldest I’ve ever encountered... -47 with a 25mph west wind will turn anyone into an icicle in moments.
Madison is a beautiful city but it’s the home of state government and the biggest state university. Think about what that means in terms of politics and it’s easy to see why things are the way they are. Once conservative people get a belly full, many move out and commute.
Madison. Beautiful city, ugly government. I was there twice in my Drum Corps days. DCI Finals was there. We had our stupid awards banquet at some fancy place downtown, I didn’t want to be there, so I just walked around. I think it was called State Street, right there around that big ol’ lake, or whatever it was.
