Robbi Risner’s story of being imprisoned drew wide acclaim after that wars end. His autobiography, The Passing of the Night: My Seven Years as a Prisoner of the North Vietnamese, describes seven years of torture and mistreatment by the North Vietnamese. In his book, Risner attributes faith in God and prayer as being instrumental to his surviving the Hanoi prison experience. In his words he describes how he survived a torture session in July 1967, handcuffed and in stocks after destroying two pictures of his family to prevent them from being used as propaganda by an East German film crew:
To make it, I prayed by the hour. It was automatic, almost subconscious. I did not ask God to take me out of it. I prayed he would give me strength to endure it. When it would get so bad that I did not think I could stand it, I would ask God to ease it and somehow I would make it. He kept me.
Thanks for sharing.
Godless nations fall.
The Bible represents the soldiers faith in a higher power and the pledge to his country, founded as one nation under God.
I cant remember if it was his book about being a VN POW but it was once of the first ones about it. In high school JROTC two of my superiors were deeply disturbed when they read that book about the part where the North Vietnamese played an anti war tape from a USN Lt. Our JROTC instructors assured them that no real Navy Lt. would ever do that. Turns out that years later the real US vets who were our instructors were wrong. It was John F’n Kerry.
When are attacks by these anti-God maggots going to start being considered as hate crimes? Huh? WHEN!
This USAF vet is offended by U.S. Air Force veteran James Chamberlain and would like to meet him for counseling or an ass kicking. He would probably like the second one better.
#2, Risner was one of Hanoi’s “Most Wanted” pilots, esp. after his picture appeared on the cover of either TIME or Newsweek magazine.
Met him many years later. Now that is an officer and a gentleman.
[ We are steadily becoming such wayward nation heading toward being handed a severe judgement call from God. ]
Unfortunately that’s correct. I cringe whenever Americans talk about hoping for a “peace deal” that divides Israel for “peace and security”.
Anyone ever look whos actually behind these groups
Democrats are evil scum.
“The god of this world gave Obama riches and fame for doing his dirty work.”
And I hope he enjoys his little bit of Heaven on earth.
His future won’t be good.
Okay Asshats who oppose the Bible, you a designated as point man, and during the next battle you must get the he’ll outta the Foxhole... There are no atheists in a fox hole.
The United States Constitution does not state in so many words that there is a separation of church and state. The first part of the First Amendment to the Constitution states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
This part of the first amendment was re-assigned by the courts to reverse its meaning. It now is used to protect those that dont want religion to be practiced around them, thus conflicting the amendment.
So if the ruling is to be followed, then how come the government funds and support religion in the military? How come they fund schools that teach religion. Church related universities receive millions of dollars in federal funding, usually in the form of student financial aid such as Pell Grants, direct loans, and work-study. How come they say a prayer to start congressional processes? And how can they get their education through religious. A number of presidents and congressmen/women are graduates of faith based schools.
The only time you hear about this is when it can safely hit the news and not make them look like a horses patutty. It needs to be changed back to its intent. Freedom, not a lack of it.

1 Peter 1:24-25 (NKJV)
...because
All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
But the word of the Lord endures forever.
Sad to say I was right.
Wow.. I just went to that website to read the article and Norton stop an attack and said the site was phony... Hmmm..
Sure, John Kerry was a truly a stinking Traitor to the USA.. Right Along with Jane Fonda, and NOTHING was ever done to bring them to justice.. That is exactly why I have NO confidence that any of the conspirators against President Trump and our nation will see any punishment what so ever... :(
