A black sixth grader at a Fairfax County, Virginia, private school said she was attacked by white classmates who then cut her hair while taunting her with racist insults this week.
Amari Allen is a student at Immanuel Christian School in Springfield, and she said the incident happened during recess Monday. Allen alleges that three white classmates attacked her on the playground and pinned her down against a slide.
They put my hands behind my back, put a hand over my mouth and they tried to cut my hair, said Allen. She said the students were calling her hair nappy and ugly while that was happening.

Well, to be fair, dreadlocks are pretty hideous looking. People with them look like extras from a "Predator" movie.
Where’s the bleach?
That’s the first thing I thought!
White people don’t use the word!...........
Kid wanted some recognition. Instant fame and no retribution.
She is not telling the truth. Voice inflection, body language, eyes all say it. She was quite possibly teased about her hair, and then worked herself up into a state about it. Dreadlocks are not hygienic, and provide a fine breeding-ground for lice, fleas, and other vectors of disease. Most people know this instinctively, and keep their distance. Just imagine the guck/bugs that you’d see if she unwound that mess and shampooed it!
I call total Bull Shite....
Except for Don Imus.
With regard to your last sentence, that was one of my first thoughts. That is actually quite unfortunate - because this could very well be a legitimate attack and if so, that is outrageous and no one deserves to go through something like this. Real attacks now will look at with skepticism because of all of the lies (i.e. Jussie Smollett).
I stand corrected!
I caught that too. White kids, especially that age would have little to no experience with the word.
no white kid uses the word “nappy” ever......its an old term, not used at by 99.9%....
Except in this little sing-song rhyme. “He’s a happy Pappy with a crappy nappy.”
My British Mother-in-Law taught my daughter that little ditty when she was very young.
No “OK” sign, but one of them was Becky with the Good Hair.
The school released a statement that in part reads:
All of the students involved in this matter have stepped away from school while the Fairfax County Police Department conducts an investigation.
Sounds like multiple students were involved in the incident.
