As House Democrats moved forward with an impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump Wednesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee convened confirmation hearings for five judicial nominees.
Wednesdays candidates include two appeals court nominees and three trial court nominees.
Sarah Pitlyk, a trial court nominee who litigated for pro-life groups and clerked for Justice Brett Kavanaugh, bore the brunt of Democratic criticism at the hearing

Good. Keep doing business as usual, important to keep up the good work, don’t let the Dems sidetrack the Republicans.
So the democrats really want Pence for President? (Of course, a few, like AOC probably think that the VP would go when the President does, and that Hillary would be sworn in.)
This is like something happening in a separate universe.
Well, since the House is going to free up time by not engaging in any meaningful legislative activity...the Senate can do this “housekeeping” work at increased pace.
Dems, if you’re going to shoot yourself in the foot, put it in full auto.

I feel a lot better about Hunsacker having read this. I was concerned when the Oregon Democrat Senators did not oppose her nomination.
