The president said that this new wall is replacing an old one made of sheet metal that had been repeatedly pushed down for illegal entry. Thus this is a totally new and highly improved wall that will replace an earlier and ineffective barrier. Sort of like when a dirt road is replaced by an asphalt one. Is it a new or replacement? or both?

I live in San Diego. Before Trump there was no razor wire or bollard steel fencing down there. None. Last November, about 10 days before the hordes of Central Americans stormed the border at San Ysidro, U.S. Marine combat engineers installed the razor wire. Without that the hordes would have gotten through.
President Trump in boarding Marine 1 for trip back to Miramar. Listen for a couple big loud helicopters.
As the proficiency of the construction crews increases and the stifling hot weather abates, we should see some very rapid increases in speed of installation.
I am within 3 miles of Miramar now.I hope that I see Air Force One. I will wave a give the thumbs up.
