I just re-watched Atlas Shrugged, having read the book several decades ago and listening to it again on audio over the last few months.
These hearings remind me of the scene where they try to throw Hank Reardon into prison. It was a comical scene then and it is a comical scene in the real world this week.
When I first read that book, I saw it as a warning. Revisiting it now, it appears to have, in many ways, fairly accurately predicted where our government was headed. Modern events parallel the events in the book a lot more than I’m comfortable with.
I wouldn't just say government, but culture/society as well.
I have to agree with you. It was not just a book by Ayn Rand, it was a prophetic statement.

I admit, I get a bit depressed when I see things from “Atlas Shrugged” playing out in real life.
