President Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he now has five finalists for the position of national security adviser.
Trump named attorney and U.S. hostage negotiator Robert O’Brien, assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ricky Waddell, Energy Department nuclear security expert Lisa Gordon-Hagerty, former National Security Council Chief of Staff Fred Fleitz and retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, who currently advises Vice President Mike Pence.
Trump implicitly ruled out leading contenders with large bases of support, including retired Army Col. Douglas Macgregor, a favorite of non-interventionists, U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, and U.S. special representative for Iran Brian Hook.

I don’t see any giant red flags.
LTG Kellogg has been with Trump since the campaign.
He is a long time (multi-tour) paratrooper - I would hate to have his knees or spine, after all the jumps he must have made.
I’m ready if asked.
Fleitz seems very good when I see him on Fox and OAN. I think he’s on “Tipping Point” often. Don’t know about the others.
How was Trump able to find 5 rapists at the same time?
I thought Fleitz was a big ol’ neocon?
I am surprised that the name Conrad Black is not on there. It wouldn’t surprise me if his name doesn’t come up anyway.
That got Bolton the gig. I'd say Fleitz would have the inside shot. Then President likes people he's seen defending their position on TV.
