There is audio evidence that they were having a secret meeting to discuss redistricting which the legislature is being forced to do by the extremely liberal state supreme court. They were not supposed to be meeting as caucus about it. The best evidence that this was not a plot by the "evil" Republicans is that they did not have all of their members there either. The Speaker had warned the Dems that he would call the vote on the veto override the first time that he saw there was a quorum and that he had the votes to pass it.
